About
Catch Up is the party game where everyone knows the word except you. Hold your iPhone to your forehead, and your friends shout clues, act it out, and do whatever it takes, short of saying the word, until you get it.
TILT TO PLAY
Got it? Tilt the screen down toward the floor. Stuck? Tilt it up to pass. Bring the phone back upright and the next word is waiting. Prefer buttons? Switch to Tap to progress, which works great on iPad or when someone else is holding the device.
BEAT THE CLOCK
Pick a round of 30, 60, 90, or 120 seconds. When time runs out, you'll see every word from the round, which ones you got, and which ones you passed. Then hand the phone to the next player and go again.
15 CATEGORIES, 2,000+ WORDS
Movie Characters, Animals, Food, Locations, Tourist Attractions, Activities, Video Games, Restaurants, Famous People, and more, including categories for fantasy fans and a church edition.
MAKE YOUR OWN
Create your own categories with your own words, or edit any built-in one: rename it, pick an icon and color, and add or remove words. Changed your mind? Reset a built-in category to the way it shipped.
GENERATE WORDS WITH AI, FREE
Type a category name, like "Superheroes" or "Pixar Movies," and tap Generate with AI to fill it with up to 20 new words at a time. It never repeats a word you already have or one you removed. No subscription, no extra charge.
MADE FOR A ROOM
The words are big enough to read from across the couch, and the screen stays awake while you play.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Your categories and settings stay on your device.
Generating words requires a device that supports Apple Intelligence. Everything else works on any iPhone or iPad running iOS 26.7 or later.

• New How to Play guide: it opens the first time you launch the app, and the ? on the main menu brings it back anytime. • Pause anytime: tap the timer to pause the round, then resume or head back to the main menu. • Fewer repeats: a word won't come back until you've played through the rest of its category. • Ready for iPhone Duo: tap mode plays on either display, and tilt mode asks you to close the phone first.
