Full-screen advert with no visible X

I was actually enjoying this game, but I’m deleting it now purely because of the way the adverts work.

I understand that free games need adverts to make money, and I have absolutely no problem with that. What I do have a problem with is being put into a full-screen advert with no visible X, no close button and seemingly no way whatsoever to get back to the game.

I shouldn’t have to force-close an app just to escape an advert. That’s ridiculous.

You had someone who was enjoying your game and would have happily carried on playing and watching reasonable adverts. Instead, you’ve frustrated me to the point where I’m deleting it.

I imagine plenty of other people do exactly the same thing. If advertising is how you make money, surely driving players away because they’re getting trapped in adverts completely defeats the point.

There’s a massive difference between showing adverts and making someone feel trapped in one. It has completely ruined what was otherwise a game I was enjoying.

I’m not wasting any more time on it. I’m deleting the app.

Developers Are Listening

I recently gave the game a 2* review because it was predictable. The developers responded with an update that fixed it. Thanks for listening devs. Updating review to 5*.

It’s okay

Good start, but the game needs randomization. Starting from the top row the colors are always in this order, Dk Green, Lt Green, Dk Blue, Orange, Purple, Red, Pink, Gold, Dk Grey, Lt Blue, Yellow. This makes the game incredibly predictable, and far too easy. If you’re looking for a challenge, look elsewhere.

Loving this kitty sudoku!

Great app! Challenging puzzles that really make you think and the cat theme is super cute. Plus tons of levels. Paying for ad-free is totally worth it! Awesome time killer!

Response from developer

Meow, Alyssa! 🐾 We're purring over this review. So happy the puzzles keep you thinking and the cats keep you smiling! Thank you for supporting Catdoku with ad-free — it means a lot to us. Happy puzzling!

342 Levels

Great time. Loved playing this game for all 342 levels. Now it’s over🥺😭

Response from developer

All 342 levels — that's a lot of cats safely rehomed. 🐾 We're a little proud and a little sad on your behalf. Dry those whiskers, though: the night cats pulled an all-nighter, and version 1.0.17 (on the App Store now) picks up right where you left off with a batch of extra-tricky new grids. More are coming. If there's a grid size or a twist you'd love to see next, tell us at redeyegame@163.com — after 342 levels, you've earned a say in it.
