This Mobile Application is solely for those who have been selected to participate in Retail CBDC pilot project held by the Bank of Thailand (BOT). The participants will be able to use the CBDC according to the specified conditions, such as transferring or paying for goods and services at participating stores, within a specified period.
The important features of Retail CBDCs, which is equivalent to a digital form of banknote, are as follows:
(1) User must have the Wallet to store CBDC.
(2) This Wallet will have a holding limit according to the conditions specified in the Terms & Conditions.
(3) This Wallet supports transfer and payment for goods, including online services.
Retail CBDC is equivalent to digital form of banknote which has fixed Thai Baht value; therefore, holding Retail CBDC issued by the BOT is risk-free.
