Horrible!
Used this app for years and just installed the “downgrade”. Completely unusable now. Will be looking for another local news app. You really blew it.
No Search?
I missed a story about SDGE changes, “News 8 Working For You” and wanted to see it. There is no search, no categories, no nothing on the app. Just scroll and scroll, all the way doren to the old news stories from weeks ago! And nothing about “News 8 Working For You”. Crazy.

What did you do to your app??? . No way to navigate to specific topics, just a random feed. NO TRAFFIC???

No Rotation Support
Without rotation support (horizontal viewing), this app is useless on my Magic Keyboard mounted iPad.
Unnavigable & Buggy
First and foremost… WHERE IS THE TRAFFIC??? I used this app for catching up on certain stories I missed, weather, and to check traffic.
Now you can’t navigate anywhere, there’s no “back to top,” it refuses to save user settings, and why the Hell is all white???
Put it back.
Guess I’ll switch to channel 10 or NBC.

Why did it have to change?
The old app worked perfect, gave access to various topics such as local, sports, etc…now all I get is just “Top Stories”
Notifications also broken, was flooded on new release for any and all topics, that has been adjusted but still get “watch live” which are not wanted

Love everything about channel 8! Weekdays & weekends!! And love the app for keeping up during the day! Very professional & true journalists!! Have not looked at any cable TV in at least 2 years!!! Thank you for straight forward unbiased reporting!

Gaming the review system
I was read the news in the app and a popup asked me if I was enjoying the app. “Freeback? Sure, I said” and clicked Yes. But then they bumped me to write a review without asking. And I’m sure if I clicked “No” they would not have put me here to write a review. Be quality without using dirty tricks please.

I love this station because all of my favorite shows are on there, including Ghosts. I am a Moderator of the Ghosts page and am a Ghostie. There are other shows I like too but sad that So Help Me Todd was cancelled. The best thing is that I love watching your weather girl who you actually can understand and of course Styles who is so cool too

Great for the most part
I watch in the afternoons and I only person I can hear without turning the sound way up is Anna Loral and the commercials. The sound balancing is way off. If you don’t mind turn the volume up and down every few minds the app is great.

Connecting to the News
Love this APP. I don’t subscribe to cable because it doesn’t provide value. So I cut the cable and Subscribe to entertainment content via the internet. This left me needed to rely on broadcast TV for my local news and weather. This is the best app i have found for local news and weather. Rabbit ears on my TV a a little unreliable.
