Terrible App
We are Boston viewers and use the Weather App. Recently we received a message the Weather app is no longer supported and to use CBS News app. Terrible!!!!!!!!!
Again from Boston area, don’t want screens for New York, Chicago, LA, etc. Overall the CBS News app is not intuitive, easy to navigate, or user friendly.
1. If you can finally find the weather section, terrible presentation and not as thorough as former app.
2. The screens are truncated on the interactive maps.
3. The weather app focused on weather when that is weather is what we want.
Will change to WCVB and watch Mike Wankum!!

Bring back the weather app
I just recently deleted the WBZ Weather app because I noticed it said it was no longer supported and to use their CBS news app. I went ahead and downloaded the News app, but the Weather section is nowhere near as thorough as the previous weather app. I loved being able to see the hourly forecast which included temperature, feel like temperature, humidity, wind, and chance of rain. Unfortunately, I will be deleting their News app and going with a competitor’s.

I enjoy watching your station for all my local news. My two favorites are Jacob Wycoff and Tammy Mutasa. He is so knowledgeable and professional. She is just a doll and seems to really know her stuff. I’m watching 11:00 pm news on 12/30 and she makes a happy end to the day. Bernadette Golas
Just want the weather!
I downloaded this as the weather app I love has a banner that it’s not being supported anymore. But I don’t want a news app, I just want the weather! The weather app was simple to use but provided everything needed. Just looking for the weather section of this one was difficult! One more vote to bring back the weather app. I deleted this one immediately. Wish I could give 0 stars.

Absolutely Terrible

I know the amount of ads that you have on this new app is ridiculous. Whoever made a decision to get rid of the WBZ weather app should be fired. It is nowhere near what the old app was. As with a lot of the other reviewers. If something isn’t done about the weather app and some of the advertisements, I think a lot of the people who are using this will be going to another app.

Weather needs help
This app is really good everything but weather, the old WBZ weather app was much better

This app is a DOWNGRADE from previous ones. News stories are disjointed. Weather is a complete disaster. I cannot believe WBZ thinks the weather functionality on this new app is better than their old NEXT weather app!! What a disappointment from expectation for a “leading” Boston station. I guess I’ll stick to watching on TV and get my online weather (number one method) elsewhere!! Please support the old weather app!!!!

What happened?
WBZ always had the best weather app; best radar and forecasting for MA and NH. Now it’s useless. Very disappointing.
Weather or Naught!
The app works well BUT there is no map that shows where the storms are located. That would be a great feature.
Bring back the old weather app
You HAD a phenomenal weather app! I can’t believe your great weather team isn’t walking a picket line over what you are now presenting. Where are the links to regional information, weather maps, radar, etc? I’m a former Navy weather forecaster. This and Windy were my “go to” apps for wx info. You should be embarrassed by this bit of weather presented on your WBZ NEWS.

Just The Weather, Thanks
For me, this app is a little late to the party. People are moving away from “Breaking News!” every second, of every day. It’s not healthy. We’d rather not get splashed in the face by a constant stream of the latest examples of our inhumanity to each other. I just wanted to know if I should water my garden. Please be better.

The weather section of this App is terrible. There is no radar like the old app and stories about the weather are 15 days old! Weather changes so often a 15 day old story is NO help at all. I now have to find an app with a radar link in order to stay up to date. Terrible design on this app!!
Not user friendly
I love wbz tv- always have. But yiur app for the news is pretty awful. Full of ads- thst take away from your news- it’s very chaotic and not user friendly.
Go on channel 5’s news app and take notes.. please improve this mess. There’s no rhyme nor reason to your flow of news. It needs help. Good luck

Terrible disappointment
The old weather app was my go-to for radar and hourly forecasts. Seems to be missing in this news version. This “upgrade” is a huge disappointment. I would rate 0 stars. Do not recommend.
Lack of a tab for Next Weather
The weather info on this app is just about non-existent. All it gives is the temperature and conditions for my town. (I can get that by looking out the window.) I miss the main page with temperature, wind speed, and dew point, the map with the radar, the forecast page where you could scroll ahead to the coming days, and the times of sunrise and sunset. Please consider adding Next Weather to this app. Thank you.

Why did you change!
Used the Next weather app all the time. Told going to different
app, CBS News Boston. Downloaded it and doesn’t work at all. Finally got weather video to work and then could not find any way of going back to news portion. No controls in evidence or menu to work from. WHY? Asked to download junk app. Expect so much more from WBZ. Embarrassment.

Weather info difficult
The old weather app was easy to use and provided hourly, daily, latest video forecast, and radar in one place. With the new news app, the forecast is not under weather, the radar seems to be missing completely, and it’s harder to scroll the hourly and daily data. If this isn’t improved, I’d suggest a competitor’s weather app.

New CBS Boston weather and news app
I am so disappointed in this new way to access the weather forecast!
It is no longer a stand-alone weather app; I have to open the news first then select “weather”. Then there is less detail; it is harder to view and the text is smaller and harder to read.
I had relied on this app as my primary source for weather for years. Am so sorry to see it being destroyed.
