The push notifications could be good
I appreciate the reporting of CBS Chicago, you have many great people working there. The push notifications I get from this app are informative and timely, but if you want more Info on something that the app notifies you about, clicking the notification will not help you 90% of the time. At this point I just google whatever yall mention and find the story somewhere else. This app would be my #1 source for news if the push notifications worked right

Push notifications for stories are never linked to actual story. Opens broadcast playing story unrelated to push.

Where to start.. simply put, the headlines are poorly written much like click bait; the links in notifications take you to the main app page where the story you wanted to read is nowhere to be found. Search is terrible.

Where is the Parade? If this is best “coverage” Ch 2 can do, they should not have bothered. No actual Parade coverage - just screaming children on sidelines!
Poor Notification Activity
Would be nice if the push notifications lit up the phone like my other apps and if it sent it to my Apple Watch like my other apps. App really needs some work on getting the notifications to work properly.

CBS notification. “Woman attacked downtown. Hear her story.” Meanwhile I get a notification about a major recall of a product used by millions of people on NBC. Bye CBS.
Not finding the newest info
So I am watching the program live on my tv and they just mentioned something that I wanted more info on, so I go to the app but I don’t see anything about that topic.
Also I get notifications on my iPhone and when I select the notification, it takes me to the app but not to the news alert that I just got the notification for, and it’s not even in any of the top ten articles/links.
I’m very disappointed that what is being reported isn’t showing in the app. I don’t need to watch it live on my phone, I want to read the article or get more information about what they just mentioned. And I’m pretty sure it’s not the first time it’s aired either, since most of the news repeats from morning to night.

Too much work
What a let down. Ap doesn’t fill entire screen and your forced to hold the iPad vertically as the ap is not designed to work while holding the iPad horizontally. Too much work scrolling through all the advertisements to find actual news content. The headlines are incomplete and cut off in mid sentence. So disappointed in your ap.

Good start but needs work
My biggest complaint is that if you do an alert on a story we expect the video on the page you go to to be about that story not whatever happens to be on the live feed at the moment. Yes. It’s nice if there’s a photo with the text, but if there’s a video link about a person arrested for whatever we expect the video link to go to that not weather, or puppies, etc.
If the video is to the live stream it should be labeled that. Thanks for this start though.

Tired of getting faked out....
I’ll receive a notification on my phone about an interesting story. I touch the notification which opens the app but the story is nowhere to be found. Fooled me twice, shame on me. Fooled me three times, nope! Not falling for that again.

Freezes and Overheats my iPhone
This app is garbage! Every time I open it it freezes as soon as I open it! Also, it overheats my iPhone even when just running in the background! Once my iPhone even showed the cool down thermometer because of this stupid app! This app is GARBAGE and I am deleting it! Get the ABC 7 or NBC 5 app instead!

The app continually freezes. Why must someone keep hitting More News. I get locked in it each time. Not usable. Bring back old app or fix
Unhappy with the new app
I have an iPad, you changed the setup to the long way. It’s odd to have to turn my pad to read my news. I like the other format.
