Weather?
So the weather app has finally died. Came back to this app hoping the weather would have been improved since I checked last. Nope still terrible. I have only used the CBS weather app. This thing doesn’t even have radar. It doesn’t say what percent chance of precipitation at the hourly forecast. So disappointed. Such great meteorologists, but no I do not want to watch a video every time I want to check the weather at a certain time.

Full coverage
Thankfully we have a news company they actually provides full coverage online and doesn’t rely on TV coverage. I work odd hours and simply cannot watch it on TV but WCCO provides the coverage online that I’m looking for!
Inaccurate tabs
Unfortunately, getting an alert on my phone to watch “live news” is pointless. When I open the app and press one of a few red buttons saying “LIVE NEWS” I am led to absurd advertisements about swimwear and vacations or national news shows - and the live news that I’m seeking may be happening - but I can’t find it via this app. Very disappointing. I won’t be seeking my news via this app any more. I would give this negative stars if I could, based on the misleading, non-functioning app as I consider finding news a serious matter.

News ap
I find this news app to be some power. It is not refreshed often, some stories are a week old, and you can only see the top three stories unless you keep scrolling down to look for more. Very disappointing for a big news station.
And on Sunday night, I check the weather for the week under the next weather app on your site and it gave weather from Friday. That is disgraceful. Get on the ball with updating the site please.

Great station but app needs work
When I click on links or notifications to specific stories they seem to never open on the app. Instead, I’m either brought to the homepage to find the story on my own or to a page that seems to not load. I like the station too much to give up on it but please fix the app.
No radar???
Can’t believe WCCO is making people move to this from the fantastic weather app I’ve used for years. There is no radar and it is like the weather section on a newspaper. Unless you want to watch videos. So disappointed.
Guess I will get weather and news elsewhere

Weather is less than half the information of the current app they are discontinuing. Current app. Makes it easy to follow weather elsewhere as well.

Not up expectations
I had the WCCO weather app. I loved it. It was easy to use and was very complete in information for where I live, not this overall app. There is no weather map, the info pertains to the cities (which I don’t live in), and it’s filled with videos. Very disappointed in the format! I see why most people I know use apps for strictly weather vs. mixed topic apps. This doesn’t work. I will definitely be looking for an app that compares to the old WCCO weather app. 😢

Next-to-Nothing Weather app
They have removed what was good about their weather app and replaced it with minimal information. No weather map. Poor hourly and daily info. It appears they want you to watch the old weather videos. Who has time for that? I want the information quickly which the old app served excellently. This app makes Next Weather into Next-to-Nothing Weather.

No current weather map
Might be good for some, but I like to look at the weather map to determine myself how soon the weather will be affecting me. This app has no way to get to a weather map like the CBS Minnesota Weather app had. Very disappointing. So, I have switched to Fox 9 weather app.
Disappointing
We got a banner on our much loved NEXT Weather app, that it would be shut down 3/31, & no longer supported. We downloaded this app, & find it a BIG disappointment. Combining the news & weather apps may be a budget saver for you, but it’s more work for us. Too many actions to open our local, current conditions. The current conditions don’t refresh every time we visit the app, unlike the NEXT weather app. Too much scrolling is needed to survey the forecasts. Local notifications are flawed, or non existent. We live three hours north of Mpls/StP. We don’t want Metro news & wx. The WCCO USED to be the best weather app. Now it’s sub par, just like the other MSP station’s apps. ☹️

Not a replacement for CBS Minnesota Weather App
On March 31, 2023 WCCO TV is ending support of the fantastic CBS Minnesota Weather App. They say as a replacement, download their CBS Minnesota app. The weather info has next to nothing that the weather app had. No radar, hard to use. I am going to Fox 9 weather app as a real replacement, that is Next Weather.

barely usable
crowded, messy interface that is absolutely loaded with ads - in fact, there are more ads per page than there is « news » and the ads constantly reload as you attempt to scroll through them, meaning that all your scrolling will be for naught as you’ll eventually wind up back where you started.

Pop up advertisements
Now you have ads that pop up in the middle of reading an article…they are 4seconds long and you can’t delete them. Will not succumb to this crap. I’m done/deleted.

There are one star complaints 1 and 2 years old that could have been fixed by now but haven’t been.
The format is not full screen, and looks like the annoying vertical videos that too many mobile phone users feed to TV newsrooms.

I am applaud at the amount of continued coverage WCCO has been giving to Dante Wright pertaining to the Kim Potter trial and sentencing. Where is the equality now!!

Why do you continue to show protestor after protestor saying the same thing? Why didn’t they protest when the guy shot the coach several months ago on 169? Silence! Why is there no protests on the beautiful black children that have been shot? Silence! Why didn’t you show the Potter supporters?

No Screen Video Orientation
Apple 15.1 version does not allow orientation. Behind the times vs other media news sources. Emails CBS Local App. Requested help with issue, no feedback.
