Weekend News updates
I person responsible for the weekend news needs to be replaced. On Saturdays the news is limited and recycled Fridays articles. Sundays there no news until afternoons and that’s limited.
Nothing in this app actually works
At the title says, nothing in this app actually works.. You press play for a news clip, it doesn’t work. You press play on live local news.. it doesn’t work. Like literally, it won’t play. What’s the point of the app? Who is developing this app? Fire them. Only thing that works in google ads but then that’s not surprising.

Not great
I only downloaded this app because the CBS Bay Area Weather app is being discontinued/merged into the News app.
I love the Weather app - all the info I want in an easy to use place, with unobtrusive ads.
The News app doesn’t include as much weather detail AND the ads are much more intrusive.
Please reconsider the decision to discontinue the CBS SF Weather app!

Keep recycling old news
Show the same old news over and over again. Some of the stories are not even newsworthy
Full screen horizontal position is broken after 1.15 ios update

Poor app
User interface is very bad. The App is disabled to work with Airplay devices - this should even be allowed on the App Store

App doesn’t work, freezes, can’t find stories that were on tv. Disappointing.
Not formatted to work on an iPad
I really miss my cbs news but the app isn’t formatted to work on an ipad.

Video not there all the time. Really slow booting when the video IS there.

Works Fine
The original app was unusable. This one works fine and is current.
3 day old news
This app is worthless unless you are interested in 3 day old news. It doesn’t update its news stories.
Updated version much better
The first version of this app freezes after loading making it impossible to read any stories. It was even hard to close the app as the entire phone slows dramatically. iPhone 8 on latest software.
The latest update seems to have addressed the stability problems. Hope they’ve learned from this, they never should have released the first version.

Not an iPad app
Doesn’t display in landscape view.
Refresh rate slow
Newsfeed sometimes doesn’t update for hours or days at a time. Is the news cycle this slow or is nobody monitoring the feed?
Worst app ever
This app crashes consistently every time after 10 seconds, right when you have just begun reading a story that you had just received a notification about— total “tease” 👎
Garbage
Your previous app worked great. This one is a real loser. Can’t even read any of the stories because the app shuts down after three seconds. I only get the headlines from the notifications. Deleted it.
Horrible!
The new app is horrible!! I’m so disappointed because this was the best local news app. For some stupid reason, they updated the app so that it’s only good for iPhone and not iPad. I’ve deleted it and I have to find a decent local news app👎👎👎
Horrible app
Keeps freezing my IPhone because it keeps updating its ads or refreshing articles.
“More news” button unresponsive as it updates sliding ads.
Scrolling is fine as it already cached.
Even after switching out, it prevented my iPhone to doing anything as it updated the ads in the background. Once I swiped it off, my iPhone got back to functioning property.
I removed the app completely.

Bs news bay area
Old app was better. This doesn’t rotate for horizontal viewing. Don’t bother and if you have the old version, keep it!
