Annoyingly flawed

Same problems as the last app: asks to you pair with a code every time but isn’t capable of holding a Bluetooth connection for either length of session. Oh and I love the beeping that accompanies the weak connection notification so great to hear during a migraine. The Bluetooth connection is “weak” even if one doesn’t move away from one’s phone at all. I’ve had better luck with a $20 ear buds compared to the hundreds of dollars this device costs. Really hoping this was a coincidence but since getting the new app and using it- I’ve noticed it will interrupt the session when the Bluetooth connection fails. So that is the worst. Really probably going to go back to not using the app at all. I’m mad now and my head hurts so sorry for being rude but honestly figure it out guys!!! Hire someone that knows how to make Bluetooth work!!!!

Horrible

This app is useless you can never pair device then it just stops pairing if it actually gets paired. I use it manually now due to how horrible and frustrating this app is when you are suffering. Worse than the last app.

Buggy app

Almost every time I use this app, or the previous app, Cece, there is some issue that prevents me from starting my session. This time around, when it’s asking for my pin, I’m not able to enter anything so my device won’t pair to the app. Typically I can delete the app and redownload it, but that’s not working in this case and I’m extremely frustrated that these issues keep happening. This device is intended to help with migraines… the LAST thing I need is for the app to prevent me from starting a session. My husband said he had to pay for me to have access to this app which is terrible considering it hardly ever works right.

Very difficult

I love my Cefaly, but the app is incredibly difficult to use. The Bluetooth rarely works, and when it does, it says it’s disconnected multiple times during a session. The app will say it’s disconnected, but the device will still work. I can’t control the intensity or stop it, but I will still feel the tingling sensation from the device.

Okay-ish

It would be really great with the way it’s set up if every time I open the app it doesn’t ask me to go through the set up that I did the first time I created an account. It always wants me to set the app’s screen preferences, light or dark, then says I can change it any time in the app. Yet it pops up every time I open the app. On a similar note, it also wants me to answer the history of my migraines every time I open the app too. I already did that when I created my profile.

Probably worst of all- when pairing the device- it asks if I want it to remember the device code for pairing. You select ‘yes’ and that does nothing because every pairing you still have to manually remember and input the code. If you go back to where the code is listed in the app, it kicks you out of the pairing. You can, however, alternatively copy the code. So that is a method to use before you start the pairing. It just seems that if you select the option to remember the code for pairing that it would be automatically entered when you go to pair the device.

Both are constant things. It’s just frustrating to go through the long click through before you can even get to the click page.

Device seems great but app seems unfinished

Device seems great but app seems unfinished. There is no way to decrease the intensity during sessions. The device needs to be re-paired with its PIN every use. And the app isn’t logging my sessions, and I can track migraines. Returning device if the app doesn’t catch up to the technology asap.

Response from developer

We appreciate you sharing your feedback, and we're glad the device is working well for your migraines. We require PIN pairing each time to maintain the security of the connection. As for logging, I have good news: our upcoming release should solve that issue - Dan from Cefaly

Please keep old app

Please don’t get rid of old app. It’s the only one the stays connected. The device won’t connect with new app.

Response from developer

I’m sincerely sorry the pairing is not working for you. The Bluetooth Low Energy connection can be sensitive, so we advise turning off other nearby Bluetooth devices and ensuring your Cefaly is charged. Could you please email info@cefaly.us so that we can follow up, learn more about the issue and resolve it for you? - Melissa from Cefaly

App sucks, device good

The app doesn't record or remember any of my treatments over the past week I've been using it. I can't get the device to sync up with the app and I don't WANT to control the device with clicks, as it's easier to tap instructions than remember one click is for this and two clicks is for this.

Response from developer

Thank you for telling us about these issues! The upcoming release should solve the logging issues (please let us know if it doesn't - info@cefaly.us). Bugs

I downloaded this app 6/5/25. Every time I try to put the pin in the keyboard doesn’t pop up. I tried to copy and paste but no luck.

Essentially non-functional

This app is unbelievably bad. In theory, the app should made the device easy to use, allowing you to start / end treatments, control intensity, and track use. In reality, however, the app asks for your device pin every single time you log on (why?!!!!); takes ages to connect, and then disconnects numerous times during treatment (and every time you try to reconnect it asks for your pin again 🤦🏻‍♀️). I can be holding the phone less than 10 inches from my face while sound treatments and it will tell me the connection is weak or I’ve been disconnected. Unfortunately, without the ability to use the app, the device itself is clunky and hard to control. I’m very disappointed and expected better from such an expensive device.

Great Refresh

App looks clean and very well updated.

Love it!

Awesome app, huge improvement over the last one

Changed my mind from original review

Update: yeah, nvm. Still just as many bugs as Cece. Does not save your pin like it states it will, asks you to enter your details about your migraine patterns EVERY time you open the app, doesn't keep track of your migraines or sessions, and sends random notifications (even when my notifications are off).
Original review:
Might update my stars later but so far this has fixed most of the bugs Cece was plagued with. It saves your pin so you don't have to continuously re-enter it, the device is much easier to connect, the controls are more intuitive, and it's a cleaner layout. I don't like the constant notifications, and I wish there was an "intensity down" button, but as of yet, this definitely beats the Cece app.

Response from developer

I’m sorry the app is not working well for you. The Cefaly app should be saving your PIN. Could you send us an email at info@cefaly.us? That way we can investigate what's happening and work on a solution. I'm happy to report that we have a new release coming out soon to solve the logging issues you described—thank you for helping us make the app better! - Melissa from Cefaly

New App

Love it!

Real relief

I use many methods to control my migraines. This has became my go to choice. It’s relaxing and “resets” me out of my chronic ones.

Works great with my Cefaly!

I’ve been a Cefaly user for 5+ years, and this app is makes pairing/treatment control so much easier. Haven’t used the health wearables function but I do like the weather/pressure updates.

Horrible Bluetooth Functionality

The Bluetooth connection is beyond horrible. I’m currently going through a preventive session right now and the connection has dropped three times while my phone is close to the device. It really makes no sense and it keeps interrupting the session.

Response from developer

I'm really sorry you're experiencing these connection issues. The Bluetooth Low Energy connection of the device can be sensitive, so we advise turning off other nearby Bluetooth devices and ensuring your Cefaly is charged above 40%. To help us investigate and resolve this for you, could you email info@cefaly.us to provide a few more details? You can also schedule a free Coach call to troubleshoot the process. - Dan from Cefaly

Doesn’t connect

Why can’t you people develop an app that works!!

Love it!

This app is so much easier to use & navigate. I love that it includes my local weather as I think that contributes to my migraines and that I can link it to my Apple Watch.
