Accurate and clean

Simple, clear UI. Actual weather station data instead of big name interpolation

Needs an update

This used to be a terrific app, one of the few that actually used Canadian weather data for Canadian weather reporting. Sadly it hasn’t been updated in 5 years and now it crashes when you load the radar screen (Environment Canada has changed its implementation). Tbh I’m surprised it’s lasted this long

Great Alternative to WeatherCAN

Now that Clouds and Meteo are no longer in operation, this is one of the few remaining apps that uses Environment Canada data exclusively. It’s by far the best one, and I find it to be far more visually appealing that the official WeatherCAN app. Even though there haven’t been any updates in the past few years, the app still works perfectly. Thank you to the developer for continuing to run this app, it is much appreciated!

Meteo replacement

Glad I found this app after environment Canada decided to scrap their meteo app. Too bad there's been no updates in years. Would love to see some additional features and customization.

Simplicity at its best.

Love this app. Simple and clean UI. Makes good use of Environment Canada data which is ideal for us Canucks. Dark mode please!

Sucks don’t buy it will crash eventually.

Crashes every time I open it.
Was good though but now I can’t use it.

crashes with latest iOS

Crashes on opening with iOS 14.7.1 on both iPhone and iPad. Please fix.

Accurate and Reliable

The best app for weather in Canada. Nobody else comes close to their updates and accuracy.

Works well

Simple and clean, all the EC info with no bloat

Great Canadian Weather App

Once upon a time I was browsing the App Store for a Canadacentric weather app with a notification centre widget, preferably of a minimalist design. Well, there were a ton of massive behemoth 100mb weather apps with a million ridiculous features I’d never use (I just want to check the temp and get a basic forecast!), mostly US centric, and the few Canadian offerings were either hideously designed or had no widget option.

I was about to give up and stick with the stock iPhone weather app and a Safari web clip linked to Environment Canada when I needed an accurate local forecast. Then I stumbled across Celsius 2 (lol..something like that anyway).

It has everything I need in a weather app. Local forecast direct from Environment Canada, minimalist design and an NC widget. It even has an in app link to EC’s map and precipitation radar for your area. (I rarely use it but it’s a nice extra). All my weather needs satisfied in a slim and elegant package. IMO the best Canadian weather app available. Highly recommended !

Response from developer

Hi there, thanks for the kind words. I know your review yesterday pointed out a short outage, thanks for making the revision though. There was an issue with Environment Canada's data source but it is in the process of being resolved now. In the future, just drop me an email if you have any questions. Cheers!

Great app but 1 star...

... for nagging with a review request.

Response from developer

Hi Jon, Sorry that you feel like the prompt was nagging, we use the official framework and only prompt a maximum of 2 times. Getting people to leave reviews is hard and without reviews, users do not try the app and there would be no point in keeping it around. I would appreciate it if you could leave a proper review. If you would like to discuss, please get in touch at support@celsiusapp.ca Thanks

Celsius app

This app is fantastic. I use it every day. It even has the Environment Canada special weather alerts. Support is great too - after a major update caused a glitch in some of my locations, it only took 2 hrs for the developer to fix it! Awesome.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for the kind words. Celsius is now free so tell all your friends!

Great

Awesome app, highly recommended especially for Canadians

Love Celsius 2

Replaced Celsius with Celsius 2 and am loving it. But in last couple days the daily windows are not opening fully so I am missing some of the daily info. Hope it can be fixed quickly!!

Potential is there

This app has a nice interface but it needs a few things:

- Background app refresh. If I pull down the today bar, the temperature and forecast should already be loaded. Same thing when I open the app.

- Memory of where the user left off. If I was viewing a particular location the last time I used the app, I don't want to come back to my location list.

- Badge icon temperature. Other apps have it and it's great.

Like the app but like more added.

I've tried contacting the developer but I never got a reply. I was a happy user of degrees but they seemed to have disappeared. Two things that this app needs is an option for bigger text and badge to see the temperature from the home screen.

Great stuff

Very clean and simple. I like it.

Please add push notification support, though. Would love to see a temperature icon badge and weather warning notifications.

Great

Great app, wish it had more options like degrees but degrees is gone now! I'd especially like to Change the colors foreground and background fonts etc!

Weather App Review

This is a very simple yet informative weather application. For Canadian cites, supported by Environment Canada, the data is accurate. In future versions however, I would like the see the dew point indicated.

Good weather app for Canadians

I finally found a new weather app that uses Environment Canada as a source! The app works well and the developer is very responsive with support requests!
