About
Centronome puts a high-precision tuner and a rock-solid metronome on one screen. Tune while you keep time — no tab switching.
TUNER, BUILT LIKE AN INSTRUMENT
YIN pitch detection with FFT harmonic verification, based on current pitch-tracking research, for stable readings without octave errors
Resolution well below one cent on steady tones; Precision mode reads to two decimal places
Strobe display: the slightest drift shows as rotation — when the wheel stops, you're in tune
Four accuracy modes: Easy (±5 c), Normal (±3 c), Precision (±1 c), and Strobe
9 instrument presets: Chromatic, Guitar Standard, Drop D, Guitar High-Precision, Bass, Ukulele, Violin, Voice, and Piano single-note
Per-string targets: see which string you're closest to and how many cents remain
Piano mode estimates string inharmonicity (B coefficient) and the deviation of the second partial
A4 reference adjustable from 410 to 480 Hz in 0.1 Hz steps, sharp/flat notation, and a calibration offset for known hardware bias
Microphone input uses iOS measurement mode — no AGC or noise suppression coloring your signal
A METRONOME THAT DOESN'T DRIFT
Click timing is decided on the audio clock, immune to dropped frames and notifications — measured jitter is on the order of microseconds
20–300 BPM with tap tempo
Time signatures: 1/4–5/4, 6/8, 7/8, 9/8, 12/8
Subdivisions: quarters, eighths, triplets, sixteenths — with swing (50–75%) on even subdivisions
Fully editable accent pattern per beat; accents differ in timbre, not just volume
Four click sounds (Classic, Woodblock, Digital, Soft) and optional haptics
The pendulum and beat flash are derived from the actual audio output time, so what you see matches what you hear
USE BOTH AT ONCE
Tuner and metronome run side by side. When the click plays through the speaker, Centronome knows exactly when it happens and automatically discounts those moments in the pitch confidence. Headphones make simultaneous use even more stable.
NOTHING TO HIDE
