About

You spent three years at Titan building someone else's ideas. Then you pitched one of your own, and your boss killed it in a conference room. So you quit, maxed out three credit cards, and started a company in your mother's garage. Eleven months later, Titan walked onto a stadium stage with your slides. CEO is an interactive story where every decision costs money and every dollar has to come from somewhere. Choose where your company lives, who you hire, what you build and what you charge for it. Read resumes, negotiate salaries, and hand work to your team in a living office that grows as you do. Pick your investors carefully, because the fine print on a term sheet can take the company away from you two chapters later. The story follows the real arc of a startup. Launch a beta with sixty thousand dollars and a laptop that has seen things. Put a price on the door and watch your first payday land, or not. Take the seed money and read what you gave up for it. Get sued by Titan, hire a lawyer you can afford, and take the stand in a federal courtroom where every word is on the record. Testify before the Senate with your old boss at the same witness table. Raise a Series A and find out what it means to own less than half of something you built. Survive the free copycat, the poaching calls, the merger offer and the live television interview opposite the man who stole your idea. Your choices carry forward. The data you trained on in the garage decides whether the publishers come for you. The investor you took decides who tries to fire you. The cofounder you hired decides who Titan calls first. Nothing is a fail screen, but everything is remembered. Between the decisions, the company keeps running. Users sign up, revenue comes in, rent and payroll go out, and when the balance can't cover the month, the team gets paid before the story moves on. Timers mark the work that takes time, from the first training run to the migration that moves the whole company onto new machines. Written in a dry, fast voice with a cast that talks back: a burned-out ex-CFO who tells you when you're being stupid, a reporter who only calls when it goes wrong, a judge who has read the internet's opinion of your model and doesn't care, and a rival who says your name on stage to forty thousand people. Five chapters at launch, from the garage to the twelve-desk office, with more on the way. CEO Club is an optional subscription that removes waits, removes ads, adds twenty percent to your revenue and pays you daily cash. It is not required to finish the story.
