Shape Sifter + Geospark + Monkeys in Space + ? = THIS!
This latest version adds a cool "Bejeweled Blitz" like element of a quick 60 second timed game (Hyper Chain) with weekly resetting online scoreboards!
Even though VexorgX already covered some of this, I'll just reiterate it.
This game can be seen as taking elements of Shape Sifter (well, duh, it's the same dev), GeoSpark, and Monkeys in Space...but even then that is only a rough approximation as the concept of Quests and some of the Power-Ups are all new twists not seen in any of the previously mentioned titles.
Oh, and with the recent inclusion of the Static Mode it almost feels like you're playing the old Milton Bradley boardgame Operation (better keep that tail under wraps and insure if doesn't bump any of the crowded field of static shapes).

geoSpark + Operation
The new Hyper Chain is addicting fun! Chain Link only takes a few seconds to learn how to play and those are the types of games I like. I want to start having fun as quickly as possible and this game delivers. This game takes the geospark formula and multiplies the fun factor by a million! And the static game mode plays like the old board game Operation. I love the imaginative powerups in the game, especially the miniature chain.

Complicated and fun
I like games that require problem-solving skills and quick reflexes. This game does both. It's hard enough to keep my interest, but it's not so hard that it'd be frustrating. Nice graphics and sound, too.

The game runs silky smooth on my touch! great sound great feel to the game it feels like the onscreen blocks have a weight to them. Very relaxing and yet exciting at the same time. Great App and one of my favorites overall! definitely worth the dollar!!
Amazing & Addicting!!!
I can't stop playing this game! I love the amazing bright colors and the slinging of the shapes. An I love that it pauses when you return your home screen so you can multitask and keep playing:) It's amazing & I hope to see surprises in the updates :)

This is the kind of game that once you start playing, you can't stop.
The only con is that when the game starts, on my old iPhone 3G, the game lags a little. But this is the hardware of iPhone 3G that can't handle iOS 4 like newer models.

Stupid free apps come and go, but this is the ONLY app that I've kept for over 3 years. it is an amazing app . Trust me get it and u won't regret it. Great graphics, great sound affects, great everything. To b honest this I'd the first app I've ever rated bcuz I just love it soo much. And trust me, u rnt hearing this from one of those ppl with every app on the app store. I am very harsh in criticizing apps and I only keep my top 10 fav apps. And look way was on top at #1 for the last 3 years . This one. I'm tellng u, GET THIS APP!!!!!!!!!

Graphics are very cool and the gameplay is very unique..awesome idea..had to make others d/l and now they love it too. I do wish it had one thing, I love the music it plays when u get the goal bonus and I wish it played that sorta music during gameplay all the time..sorta like lumines for psp where the music rocks along with the gameplay..just a suggestion..I think it would add to the game and also the option to turn music off for those that don't wish to hear, that's if the option is ever added. But over all I LOVE THE GAME, VERY ADDICTIVE!

Great dextrous gaming.
This is a HUGE improvement over titles that have come before it. It's like GeoSpark, but with power-ups, multiple modes, and fantastic finesse gameplay. Throwing chains in from a distance is highly satisfying. Unconditionally recommended.
PS- The in-game power-up purchase is merely a shortcut. All powers can be earned by fulfilling requirements.
If you're looking for a fun and challenging line drawing/avoidance game, Chain Link should be at the top of your list.

Great, great game!
This can be an addicting game, if you let it. The difficulty options in each level in the three styles of game play make this game a challenge every time I play. No game is ever the same, which keeps you coming back for more.
Definitely worth the price
This game is truly amazing. It is a simple concept that offers tons of enjoyment. I usually pick up the game thinking I will only play for a couple of minutes, and the next thing I know a half hour or more has passed!
Great as a free game, but...
1 star for good graphics, another star for it being Free. I'm glad I didn't have to purchase it.
You make chains by linking gems of the same color, drag them to a portal, and try and avoid other gems in the meantime. It's very repetitive. It would be a little more compelling if the chains didn't act like free agents and didn't swing into other gems on their own. The physics is just terrible. It just doesn't play very well for me, but if it's for free, give it a try.

surprisingly fun game
D/l this from the open feint free game a day and it's pretty fun. My only problem is there's no color blind mode. It gets difficult trying to move quickly and I try and link together the same shapes only to crash into them because they end up being two different colors. It would be very cool to implement some type of color blind mode but that's my only complaint.

Fun on ipad or iPod/iPhone!
The purpose being entertainment, this game succeeds nicely- blow it all up large & it all just looks & plays better. Keep it palm size and it's either a lot of fun if you're playing 2player or pass-it-around style, or a challenge to improve your score if playing alone. Ipad extras take the game to the next level, either for single or multiple player. This is one game I've never regretted spending the $$ for, and having played it on several Apple platforms, can honestly say I like all of them and would have cheerfully paid twice the price to keep this in my libraries. A real winner!

Great game except...
The only thing holding this game back from 5 stars is the sound problems, though I suppose it could just be happening on my iPhone. Whenever a sound fx such as the game over voice plays, there's a lot of crackling afterward. Other than that, killer casual game that I can't put down.

You get three game modes that use the same basic concept of chaining together similar shaped blocks and avoiding others.
I like quick easy-to-play games that don't require a d-pad or tilt control. For this reason I would recommend this game.

Super fun game that keeps you coming back. Perfect for a few extra minutes you have while waiting for the bus or between classes because you can just right into your saved game. Super easy to get the hang of but challenging too because there is so much going on. Great game!!

Very addicting, and some. Screens are true to life, touch response is mathmatic(100% accuracy) I haven't even played but one mode for about an hr. If I get an ipad this is def a game I would love to see. But nice, no very nice job, far, far, far better than shape shifter(which I think is by this dev?), and geo spark, easily the best game in the store of it's genre, my fast paced puzzle bug has been scratched, for the past few days I've been looking for something fast paced but relaxing at the same time without the need for two thumbs, this fits the bill more than enough for the one hand fan. With the graphics and sound fx, and very original power ups, I would love to see these devs, make a traditional, falling block/shapes match 4 type game similar to lumines;)

Very addicting!
I cannot get enough of this game! If you like games like GeoSpark, I am sure that you will enjoy Chain Link Pro. The gameplay is a little more challenging in the way that you have to link shapes together as your chain gets longer (kind of like in Snake). There are three game modes- my favorite is the one that is similar to Operation because you can't touch certain shapes or you lose a life during making a chain. If you like a real challenge, you can play on hard difficulty. If you want a more relaxing gameplay, you can choose easy mode.
I almost forgot to mention that the physics engine is amazing, one of the best I have seen yet on the iDevice. I like to bounce the shapes off the sides of screen into the goal. All in all, Chain Link Pro is an addictive fast passed game that is beautiful to look at. I can easily recommend this title being that I have found no flaws whatsoever.
