About
Chalant is a pocket garden that grows every time you care out loud. Tell
someone you like them. Send the first text. Show up early. Say the
enthusiastic thing instead of the cool thing. Then log it in two taps,
and a flower plants itself.
Nothing here ever wilts.
This is an app for the shy, the overthinkers, the ones who draft a
message three times before sending it. It doesn't coach you and it
doesn't try to fix you. It keeps a garden of the times you were brave
anyway — and the scarier the act, the rarer the bloom.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Do something openly caring — the kind of thing that's mildly
terrifying.
2. Log it: pick what kind of act it was, dial in how scary it felt
(1–5), add a note if you want one.
3. A flower grows.
WHAT'S IN THE GARDEN
• Five families of flowers, one for each kind of caring, each with its
own color ramp — and rare variants reserved for the acts that scared
you most
• A sky that keeps time with yours: sun by day, dusk and a moon at night
• Levels with names you won't find anywhere else: Whelmed, Kempt,
Gruntled, Fully chalant, Perennially chalant
• Memory cards — tap any flower to revisit the act that planted it,
wander the album, and get a quiet anniversary note a year on
• Cuttings — share your garden as a file, or plant a friend's cutting
into yours. Importing only ever adds; nothing is overwritten
• Deadpan encouragement, administered sparingly
NO STREAKS, NO GUILT
There is no daily demand and no wilting countdown. Go quiet for a week
and the garden simply waits — it is a record of courage, not a chore.
Every flower you ever grew stays grown.
YOURS, PRIVATELY
Your garden lives on your phone. No account, no sign-up, no analytics,
no data collected — the App Store privacy label says "Data Not
Collected" and means it. Sharing a cutting is the only time anything
leaves your device, and only because you sent it.
Being nonchalant is easy. This is an app for the other thing.
