It’s great! Though, there is greater room for improvement!

It’s a great app that lets you browse the catalog of books at the library! Additionally, it lets you see the all books you have on loan and when to return them! It has all the key features that one expects from a library app!

Though there is a lot of room for improvement that can make the app even better!

When I confirm to reserve something it appears as if nothing changes. The hold amount on the profile does not change nor there is any sign of a change of status. It’s frustrating because you have no idea if anything happened or not. This feature needs to be improved upon so the user is not confused at all when they clicked to reserve something. Reserving online seems like one of the biggest pros to having the app, so if this feature is improved it can really elevate the app’s usability.

It’s hard to know if some buttons send you to another page within the app or out to the phone’s browser website. An icon indicator would be useful in this case.

There are 2 “fines and fees” buttons on the profile page. They go to different pages, one in app and the other to the website. I feel like it’s confusing for users who see two identical buttons that do different things.

Summary:

At this point in time, the app is useful for:
- seeing all your book loans statuses across different ebook apps and physical loans (THIS IS INCREDIBLE!)
- online library card and profile viewing
- looking at books in catalog and where they’re available

Parts to improve:
- a noticeable change in system status after clicking the button to reserve a book
- button confusion, which button takes me to an app page and which one takes me out of the app?

It has the potential to be an even greater app for this amazing library!

Like new app but miss mobile check-out

I really like the new, updated app. However, I miss the mobile check-out feature that was in the previous app.
