If you like adverts then this is the app for you. Annoyingly there will be some short snippets of programming thrown in now and again but thankfully these only last for a few minutes before you get back to enjoying the adverts 😁👍🏻

Why no Chromecast? Seriously limits using the app for catch up viewing.
One of the worst apps
Starts playing in the background of other apps, never works properly on iPad, randomly cuts out and jumps to other apps, terrible
Buggy and drops out
Just really buggy. Often takes ages to initially load. Then when it drops out and you continue you then have to go through a barrage of ads again.
So slow!
Out of all the apps the channel 5 one is the, without a shadow of doubt, the slowest, glitchiest one. Surely this can be resolved? Do you think?
Always crashing
Sick to death of the app constantly crashing on both main TV’s in the house.

Awful app with far too many ads. It stop/starts and buffers with a less than super quick signal. Unwatchable.
Buggy. Bugs lead to more ads.
Such an amateurish feeling app. When playing the content it’s okay, but then it transitions to ads (yeah okay don’t like ads, but necessary evil for free content)…but then it fails when switching back to content meaning you have to close the app and restart, which means….more ads.
Subtitles don’t work? Closing the app fixes, but guess what? More ads.
Content freezes? Closing the app fixes, but guess what? More ads.
If I was cynical I’d say the app is deliberately flaky because the fix is always a restart, which always spans….more ads.
Did I mention that whatever you do to fix issues, there are ads?

Ads ads and more ads complete overkill. No need for it.
Stopped Working on iPad
Used to work and has now stopped. Uninstall and reinstall just get a blank screen whenever I open it. Works on the iPhone but can’t screen share to the to from it so not a great viewing experience.
Play next episode keeps failing
Play next episode is fine for a few episodes then the next one just plays the ads and fails to play the next one. Have to keep reinstalling the app
Doesn’t work on IOS
No idea what the problem is but I can’t make this app work. I have deleted it and downloaded it again and it still won’t get beyond the spinning wheel of doom after entering my log in details. It’s the same for both my iPhone and iPad. Don’t waste your time.
Never known an app not to work
Delete app, switch off IPAD, download again, just get a black screen on iPad, it works on IPhone today, not a compatibility issue as worked the other stage, rebooted WiFi, I give up
When will the cast option be back?
When will the next update take place? And will that update include the cast option returning?

Not working on iPhone 17 Pro Max
I have not been able to watch anything on my iphone app for 3 weeks now!
Like the launch - no one can watch it
Doesn’t load. Can’t watch live TV. It’s like 1997 all over again. 😂
Tragic. Crashes then 10 ads again
Jul2026 - Crashes after add break. You have to restart the show FROM THE BEGINNING then makes you watch 10 ads AGAIN. Tragic. Wish Tour the France was never sold to them. Spent all money on deals, zero money on infrastructure.
Where is the Tour de France?
Apparently - according to a bragging press release- Channel 5 will be showing Tour de France highlights. However, it is impossible to find them on the app, which appears to have been designed to make it as difficult as possible for users to find anything they want.
