love what they’re doing….but crashes
the pedal is really cool. the concept is even better. the new AI features are rad….but every time i do anything with this app and my linked / connected device (stratus) like trying to save presets, etc it totally crashes. happened 5x times tonight. worrying
a PEDALBOARD in a pedal
This is a game changer of an app and hardware pedal. It used to be that you could only have one pedal at-a-time in these kinds of digital recreations of effects, but having an ENTIRE PEDALBOARD at your fingertips is the kind of control we’ve all been waiting for as guitarists. They’re always updating the app in order to make it better and more user friendly. The pedalboard layout is great. The shop is easy to use. Presets are easy to find and save. I really love what they’ve done.

The folks at chaos audio are moving players to the next level of technology and performance. They continue to evolve and improve adding more affects to their ever increasing library and with the addition of the Nimbus amp it will introduce an ecosystem rivaled only by much higher priced equipment

I don’t think I can praise this company enough. Every idea every issue, every complaint, Chaos Audio listens addresses it and makes it right or makes it better. This app has come so far in the time I’ve had a stratus pedal. It’s become more efficient, more reliable, packed with more features, has more available. Everything is more!
Since the recent rounds of updates I’ve had 0 and I mean 0 issues with the app at all. It has been as reliable as ever. I do the occasional gig here and there and having everything in the palm of my hand ready to go

Excellent platform
The app has been improved a lot over the past few iterations and it is extremely smooth. all the quality of life improvement has reduced usage friction, which to me is the ultimate goal. I’d rather spent cognitive load on practicing than to fumble and try make gear work for me.
I especially love the auto connect feature at the start. This will make managing the Nimbus a lot easier, next to stratus.

Level up for pedalboards
I’ve only left 2 app reviews over the years to the worthiest of developers and this one takes the cake. This is a game changer, period. The quality and sheer variety of tones available through one pedal sized pedal is simply gorgeous. And now with this latest app update, the user experience just caught up with the hardware side of the equation, making this a truly ultimate pairing of hardware and software to create and manage endless possibilities in sought after guitar tone. And the dev team is fantastically available and responsive with a whole community growing - thanks Landon! Every single time I’ve reached out I’ve been not just answered but it’s turned into a thoughtful conversation and I’ve watched in real time as suggestions and feedback get incorporated into the user experience. staple on my pro board
i experimented with replacing most of my mod pedals (chorus, flanger, reverbs, delays, octave) with the stratus to make more room for all the dirt pedals i want, and it was incredibly useful, so it’s now a permanent and possibly the most important pedal on my board. sounded too good to be true, turns out this is a completely legit and useful pedal, even for live gigs.

Innovative and exciting
Extremely satisfied overall with this app & product. Standard analog pedalboards will always exist but I think the team at Chaos Audio is truly breaking new ground when it comes to having an all-in-one pedal with dozens of effects that you can set-up and modify pretty easily from your phone. With the new MIDI compatibility update im excited to see the use of it beyond just my practice and in future performances as a standalone option!

Family Guy UN-funny moment
Was impressed until I saw that Chaos Audio prefers American Dad (family guy rip-off) over Family Guy. Absolutely uncalled for. I was going to suggest that Chaos Audio release a limited edition Glenn Quagmire custom effect that turns all guitar sounds into “Giggity.” However I now know that zero creativity exists at Chaos Audio given their cartoon preferences. I will be writing a request to Comcast that they block the Chaos Audio offices from all Family Guy streaming effective immediately. However I will give 5 stars because I used to work for this company and they let you bring in your own DVDs (mainly family guy in my case) to play on the break room television.

The looper is really useful
This is honestly my new favorite effects platform. I take it everywhere. I paired this with my pre existing pedalboard and now ive got UNLIMITED POWERRRR. the looper is really nice too
