What's New in Chaos Camera Lab

2.0

August 26, 2026

Chaos Camera Lab 2.0 turns individual experiments into a creative system you can refine, reuse, collect, and share. NEW • Recipe Studio replaces Recipe Lab with a more focused workspace for shaping color, light, and texture while keeping the photograph and editing controls visible together. • Collections let you group related Chaos photographs, choose a cover, reorder your work, and create shareable 3×3 grids from nine favorites. • Eight additional presets—Solar, Xerox, Signal, Infra, Ghost, Bleach, Mosaic, and Emulsion—bring the total to sixteen distinct visual styles. • A unified Save & Share preview makes it clear what you are exporting before you act. • Recipe cards can be shared as still PNG images or looping GIFs with animated colors from the recipe. • A redesigned onboarding experience introduces capture, presets, Recipe Studio, and Collections. • Tap anywhere in the camera viewfinder to focus. IMPROVED • The result screen now gives the photograph more space and keeps secondary controls quieter. • The original expressive Chaos noise and grain return with more texture and character. • Recipe saving, reuse, QR sharing, and importing are easier to understand. • VoiceOver labels, larger text behavior, contrast, Reduce Motion, and Reduce Transparency support have been improved throughout the primary experience. • The interface is now intentionally portrait-only for a more consistent camera and editing layout. • General performance, reliability, and interface consistency improvements. Existing saved recipes and older recipe codes remain supported.
