My Character.Ai is frozen
I love the app, it’s fun to use, but when I woke up today it’s frozen and I can’t do anything not even closing and reopening it works as I reopen it every time it restarts then freezes, please fix this today, I would like use my character.ai app…please fix. Thank you! ❤️

1. The bot has poor memory and grammar.
2. At some point, it started speaking in gibberish for no reason
3. It’s always cutting off and has some sort of lag.
4. The ai’s responses are shorter, more robotic, and aren’t responding to any actions or words I say or do.

Bring back the old c.ai stop changing things
I was on this app yesterday and 19 hours ago it says you fixed it you actually made it worse by adding the ID thing take the verifying age off so if y'all want a different app to play play chai it's a better than ID

literally has too many ads now. it’s like every 5 mins and now they show up in the chat as well. it ruins the whole thing it’s just so annoying

i’ve been using this since it started blowing up (around 2022-2023 i think) and within a year it was unusable. just ads all over the place, it’s so laggy, the characters are trashy and a bunch of ai gorp. last time i tried it around a year ago the second you said anything wrong itd time you out for a day. the filters are insanely sensitive now and it just overall sucks. i’m not a picky woman but jesus this app is just beyond repair unless they go back to how it was when it was first made. all it is now is a money grab made to rot your brain. absolutely terrible and the layout of the buttons is egregious

You guys really need to get a life. I know it’s fun and all talking to anime characters and stuff, but don’t make it ALL you do.

I love C.AI been using it for years before the app actually came out, once the app came out I transferred from the site to the app. It was great up until the ads showed up.. AKA "the ruiner " of all apps, which then forced me back to the site where I could comfortably chat, until GUESS WHAT? MORE ADS, I’ve been running off a free trial I had for two months now that just expired on the 8TH of this month. Devs please remove the ads and daily limitations.. you get enough money from the people using the app without the paywall restrictions…

What I think
I LOVE this app, let’s me use my creative side and whatnot, especially because I love writing about characters. But, what I hate is the constant ads, the shorter responses, and the new update, 18+. I understand why this update is being put, it’s very obvious why in the first place, but, at the same time it feels so unnecessary. Instead, there should be just a LITTLE more stricter rules when it comes to writing replies in certain manners. This goes for ALL ages, not just people who unfortunately happen to be under 18+. I find it unfair that younger, more creative people can’t use this app to build their own characters and be able to chat with them. Literally, the ONLY thing I would change, is the 18+ update, besides the ads and slim responses, I’d want the age verification changed or even gone. This app should be for everyone.

I used to be obsessed with c.ai (ik cringey) but now I reinstalled it and I keep having to delete it and reinstall it because I can’t edit my messages. Is this a glitch or something?

after all the changes and age verification and the app font change overall it’s been terrible i’ve switched to Swerve cause it’s wayyyy better. i wish the rest of you do the same because c.ai ain’t it anymore.

What the hell is wrong with this app? It just keeps getting worse and worse. I keep trying to give it a chance, but its genuinely frustrating and horrible. The ads showing up every 3 minutes, the dialogue just sucks, you're lucky if you get TWO sentences from a character. I'll have to delete the app and find a better alternative im just tired of them not listening to the users and the ads are genuinely annoying.

Sometimes text runs past the right edge instead of being wrapped onto the next line.
Sharp decline in quality
It really is a shame. Lately there is a very noticeable decline in quality that impacts using the app as a story telling medium. Characters barely speak. When they do, it’s bland and clunky. Characters do not stay in character and instead simply repeat messages back and add to it with things that were not stated. It’s gone from something enjoyable to a chore to get a mediocre response.
