Best Character Management Out There
I’m pretty new to D&D and I’ve wasted so much time with spreadsheets and other applications which display only about a third of what I want them too. THIS APP IS AMAZING AND ITS FREE! You can quite literally input and manage everything about your character AND THERES EVEN A INTERACTIVE COMBAT SYSTEM THAT YOU CAN LINK WITH OTHER PLAYERS TO STREAMLINE THE PROCESS! It’s perfect!

Great for all levels
I’m a newer D&D player and this is super helpful for me and my other experienced companions!
Best character sheet app with a couple requests
I’ve tried pretty much everything available for free out there, and this one is easily the best. It’s easy to use, the UI is elegant and appealing, and it’s especially helpful with its highly customizable quick-access combat page.
Only two main things are keeping me back from giving this five stars:
1) I would like to be able to rearrange the order of the characters on the app. I’ve made over a dozen characters on the app now, and I’d like to be able to put the most important/commonly used ones on top.
2) I’m glad that there’s support for adding custom spells, but I’d like that option to be expanded. It would be nice to be able to add custom spells that are applicable to multiple classes, along with a page where I can manage and modify any/all custom spells I’ve added. I create characters using custom content often, so support for that is important to me.
Fantastic app overall, and I’m looking forward to future updates!

Use at your own risk
The app is clean, but it contains a bunch of pirated content. Most likely won’t last like the rest of the apps that have been DMCA’d.
Response from developer
Licensing information is included on the About page within the app. Are there any other issues in the experience of the app that we can help with?
Absolutely Amazing
What can I even say about this app? Over the past 10 years I have tried just about every DnD app on the App Store, and nothing comes close to Character Companion. And that’s before the party tracker, which takes it to another level.
The UI is elegant and easy to use, and the vast array of spells, features, and magical items covers pretty much everything you need. The party tracker is great, especially for DMs, but it’s also nice to have in combat.
The only issue is the lack of 2024 rules and materials, but considering the sheer amount of excellent work already done this app, the vast amount of material it covers, and the fact that it’s FREE?!? Totally still worth using, not mention that Devs are hard at work on keeping up with the vast amount of new content, 2024 rules included.
All in all, a true 10/10, and without a doubt the best character builder I’ve ever used.
