Huge update! First of all, our sincerest apologies to any of you who have experienced issues with ads not skipping properly. We coordinated with our ad partner (Google) and found a fix for the issue. We also revamped the card UI. Better use of the screen means cards can now hold nearly twice as many characters, and the timer is now much bigger / easier to see. And last but not least, we added a brand new deck! This deck had many great cards that went beyond our old character limit, which is what inspired the UI revamp above. NEW DECK: Friends The one with all the cards. Quotes, gags, and deep cuts spanning every season. Happy game night!

Unskippable ads freeze the game

I don’t mind ads, but they lock the game up and you can’t skip them.

Thanks for reporting this. Ads should always be skippable after around 5 seconds, so what you ran into was a bug. We coordinated with our ad partner, and added a fix in our latest version. Sorry for the frustration, we’d love the chance to earn a better rating.

We show a 5 second skippable ad every 3 rounds in order to keep the app free. I can't promise that will be removed any time soon, but I can promise that as revenue rises, we can lower the number of ads in a sustainable way. In the meantime, we have our Charades GO+ subscription available for those looking to remove ads. I hope you give us another chance.

Hard to play with kids

I wish there was more time and words so that the game was easier to play with children. Maybe there would be a way to set time for the game? Whatever it is it's too short for the kiddos I was playing with and some of the words were not really relevant to the category.

I’m really sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. I did a complete audit of all the categories and found that the Kid At Heart deck had some easy words in there meant for younger readers that were totally off topic. An update correcting the issue is now available if you are open to it. As for the timer, I definitely agree. This was already in the works for a future release. It will be ready in the upcoming weeks. Thank you for calling this out and helping our product improve!!
