Avoid or it will cost you
Absolutely waste of time this app zero functionality, you set up an account to avoid their ridiculous preauthorisation amounts £75 yes £75 and it still takes money from you and allows you to attempt charging even when the charge point is broken then you have to wait nearly 10 days to get your money back, their charging network is almost constantly broken and the app doesn’t even alert you to this when you enter the charge point number and tell it what charge socket you are using it will still let you pay just avoid them at all costs.

App doesn’t work, you never get an email to verify your account and the functionality is abysmal.

Not a great start!
Well that was frustrating!!! Got told to log into the app and it could not find my car and I tried a million times! Went back to the website and it done it straight away!
Avoid at all costs!
Consistently fails to work, charged £75 prepayment which then fails to charge the car. Then have to wait 3 days for a refund. I have tried this at several different chargepoints and the experienceis always the same. Scotland deserves better.
Unable to start charge session, no further help
Tried using the charge point at Gorebridge Station, having not set anything up before hand.
Got past adding my card details, but then got an error "Failed request to ARGOS", with no further info on how to fix it.
Tried a couple more times, but had to give up as my train was about to arrive. Luckily there was one last space in the car park.

Absolutely Terrible
Most of the time the chargers don’t even work. It will also decline your payments for no reason and sometimes the app will claim that the your car is getting charged when it’s not. Unfortunately my car only takes the type 2 charger, which has limited stations. So I’m stuck with this stressful situation indefinitely.

Nothing works
Charge your EV easily? Absolutely not!
I can count on one hand the number of times I was able to charge my car with a ChargePlace charger. The app will show error messages that users should never ever see. Timeout: 10000ms was one I saw when attempting to use a charger near Loch Lomond.
It’s so bad that I cannot trust that the chargers work and therefore I actively avoid them now.

If possible use someone else
Unbelievably unclear which stations you can use with app! App is terrible and will accept you paying for charging station you can’t use. If possible avoid

The app wouldn’t accept my address so couldn’t proceed. Useless.
AVOID CHARGEPLACE SCOTLAND
CHARGEPLACE Scotland is the worst charging. I have never once had a successful charge from one of their points, you end up with hundreds of £s on hold because their app is horrific and the rfid cards don’t work either. I have owned a EV for 6 years and will actively avoid all CHARGEPLACE Scotland.

UI/UX is awful, overcharges Vs what is displayed in-App and to top it off most of the charging points I’ve tried using don’t work.

App currently not working for me, log in, the app asks for verification but fails to send the verification code to my email, I can still pay with the card.

Unreliable, buggy and poorly made. I only managed one successful charge from ten attempts.
Does Not Work!
Typical Government run app and system. All charge points show as 0/0 available at every location. I know this is false. No pricing info, no availability info. Our tax pays for this set up and infrastructure and it’s a joke. If this was a private company they’ve have folded but having no info charge pricing or availability renders the app useless.

Can’t even create an account - won’t accept address Complete rubbish
Appalling
It’s like someone designed an app specifically to irritate the user. It doesn’t work at all half of the time, and the other half it’s mockingly slow and inaccurate. Features like starting a charge remotely don’t work, the filters don’t work, and sending feedback/bugs to ChargePlace Scotland is pointless because I raised issues a year ago that have never even been acknowledged.
