Incredible game, buy the premium instead
This game is one of my all time favorites, but not only do you have to watch ads or pay money just to progress through the story but there are also in game ads that pop up at REALLY bad times. It really kills the vibe because this story is super emotional and all. Also, the ads always freeze midway through for me so I have to close out the game and restart it without fail every single time. All in all, put down a few bucks to buy the premium edition because itâs really worth it, and youâll have a way better experience that way. With the amount of time and energy I spent dealing with the ads, I could have worked at McDonalds and made double the cost of the paid version omlđđ

Started getting weird
Wanted to love this because I genuinely loved the other one but itâs clear that they are playing into the gender ideology, which is confusing for readers who are not nuanced. It doesnât allow the story to flow because it leaves the reader confused about the characters identity rather than focusing on the actual story line. Big miss for me. Especially younger audiences who arenât aware of âpronounsâ. Also itâs not proper English to refer to someone as a they or them. Very disappointing and unnecessary. At least give the reader the option to pick the pronouns so they donât feel forced into this ideology. Readers can clearly see that the visual of the character is masculine so to then call them a her makes readers confused.

Loved it as much as the first!
Played Underworld Office years ago, kept it in my head because it was so good, and now I find out that a sequel released??? Putting everything aside, this was SO GOOD. I love the deeper dives we got into the preestablished characters and I think the parts of the story that this explains definitely makes the story a lot more interesting! Though Iâm not counting on one, another addition to the series would be interesting, even if it was only in the same universe!

Donât know how to change speed of text
Great story I really like it. I havenât finished yet but so far Iâd like to share some issues Iâve run into.
The ticket thing is annoying but the game is free so honestly I canât really be complaining.
My main issues are with Charlie and their gender. Are they a boy, girl? I assumed Charlie was a boy because they look like a boy but in Joanâs chapter thing I noticed Charlie being referred to as a girl. Idk, itâs very confusing, as Charlie very much seems more like a male character to me igâŠ
Other thing is that I donât know how to change the text speed. It just goes on its own and I can read most of it fine. Sometimes the pause button doesnât work right away and messages keep being sent.
Overall, I really like this game, I just think thereâs a few things that could be fixed to make it really great!

Great game but some rough translations
Love the game, it truly does the first one justice, smooth transfer from the storylines but sometimes the conversations seem off, or weird. I believe that there are a few spelling mistakes, so going over that may be beneficial to the conversations.

Amazing game
Im not even halfway through and im already crying with the story... It's perfect and really easy to get attached to the characters, especially if you played the first game! I remember getting completely addicted to the first one and doing all endings and choices and i can see it happening again haha
The only problem is there's a little bug whenever an add shows up. I can skip it but i can't close the add after, even if i don't skip. I already paid to remove adds but still, i think it's worth looking for a way to fix this.

Itâs ok
I played the first game and absolutely loved it. The characters, the plot, the artwork is amazing in the first game. It made me extremely emotional and I loved it so much however this game didnât really live up to what I expected considering how the first was. I do like the character designs and art still but I feel like the plot is lacking. I feel like this game was very repetitive and easy to predict what was going to happen. The ghosts went crazy and your character had to help and figure stuff out is basically what it was. I still do like this game and it was fun to play but it was kind of frustrating especially because the same thing was happening over and over. Also Charlieâs characters pronouns were kind of confusing. In the first game it referred to Charlie as a girl she/her but in this one all of a sudden it was they/them which was sort of confusing and I didnât understand if they were specifically talking about Charlie or multiple characters when it referred to Charlie as that especially because it previously had Charlie referred to as her. Additionally, the way Eugene and river acted seemed out of character considering their actions in the first game. I understand that river was upset a lot in this game but it was strange the way it was presented considering thatâs not how sheâs characterized and Eugene is such a crybaby in this game and usually he just cryâs and asks what they should do which is weird considering how the last game was Eugene discovering himself and beginning to make his own desicions and like/trust himself so having him act like a crybaby who canât make choices was strange. (This is my first review so it may be a little rough. Iâve made sure not to add any major spoilers just in case anyone who hasnât played the game reads this)
The prequel of this game, Underworld Office always had a special place in my heart. Although the story was straightforward, Eugeneâs growth was nice to see and seeing the different endings and achievements and especially the illustrations and animations always kept me hooked. I donât remember all the details since itâs been a long time but my only problem with it was the straightforward story and the lack depth it gave the other characters. But this sequel fixed those problems and went beyond my expectations in both characters and story.
I love how Charlie interacts with the others, seeing how Eugeneâs grown since then, seeing everyoneâs backstory and more of what theyâre really like. The story is especially long compared to the previous game. Iâve only finished one ending which had taken me a few hours (maybe 3+ hours?) only to be surprised that there were more. I really REALLY love how itâs gone more into whatâs considered good and bad and how it affects the other ghosts.
The mystery of how Charlie was a bright ghost despite how she was like in the previous game was nice hook. Charlie had grown on me lot, since the beginning I knew Charlie would be a fun protagonist but seeing her views and the way she handles things is such a nice contrast towards Eugeneâs character. Theyâre a really good foil towards each other.
The only problems I have is that thereâs some grammatical errors that make it hard to read or flow nicely from sentence to sentence. Like how at some point Charlie spoke in third person and made no sense. Although it only happened once, it took a while for me to understand what she was trying to say. But it doesnât happen too often and most of the time itâs just a missing word or bad punctuation. The other problem I had was the lack of screen-time the boss and River had despite them being really prominent characters near the end. I feel Eugeneâs relationships with other ghosts were more tell than show. By that I mean I wish I couldâve seen him interact with River and Boss more for people that hadnât played the previous game and itâs clear this is supposed to act as a stand-alone, then his relationship with them can lack impact and feel flat.
Overall, Itâs an entertaining game. The characters were fun. The illustrations were great and the few animations it had were niceđđ
