Doesn’t work

Could be so useful but sadly the app is useless. You simply can’t see the stoves in position. If Charnwood used it for themselves, they would see that it doesn’t work. I can understand that a small company like Charnwood is unable to spend the money to do a good app, but this is just embarrassing. And it would be soooooo helpful if they could get a viewer like this to work.

Hopeless

As others have said doesn’t work properly. After scanning tag places fire image in a different position. Trying to move around to place it properly flips it on its front or back or it ends up floating in the air like the Tardis. Can’t see mantlepiece with fire in it as too close backing away makes fire a lot smaller in relation to mantlepiece and disappears altogether.

Terrible

Utterly useless app. When you use the tag at the back of the catalogue the digital render of the fireplace doesn’t align with it, so the fireplace floats randomly on your screen. The render of the fireplace is also very poor quality.

Hopeless

Similar to others, tag link fails (but it is available if you search). I printed it landscape A4, no idea if that’s correct as it’s not specified anywhere. However, even with this the stove I wanted to show wasn’t listed so I picked another just to get a gauge of something similar in my fireplace. It’s still useless, seemingly at random the stove flips to be face down and when it’s correctly orientated it levitates in mid air and offset to the left of the tag. If you try and step back to get a wider angle view (so your screen isn’t fully filled with the stove) then it loses the tag reference and the stove vanishes. Utterly hopeless.

Terrible!

Probably the worst designed app on the planet, so pointlessly complicated. Do better Charnwood!

App is useless

Does not work, unstable, doesn’t allow you to view in place because it’s too big on your phone and when you walk away the render disappears. Just caused frustration, maybe you need a tablet for it to actually work?

Great Idea but....

Installed the app, but the first thing it tells you to do is install “ a tag” whatever that is. However I followed the link to do that, and the web page couldn’t be found. End of app usage.....shame

Useless, out of date, seemingly unsupported

TL;DR - don’t bother; the poor result isn’t worth the hassle of trying to make it work

I downloaded the app and the first thing it asked for was the ‘tag’. It gave a link on the website which is now 404. Searching the website was fruitless. After googling for it, I realised it’s in the brochure. D’oh!

So I put the tag in the fireplace where we wanted the stove and tried to choose our desired stove; but it’s not in the app as it doesn’t seem to have been updated for several years. So we chose an older option and it displayed it in nice 3D, but in mid-air a couple of feet to the left of where we wanted. So I had to guess where to place the tag to make it appear in the right place. But it didn’t like that and decided to display the stove face down on the floor.

To add insult to injury, half the menus display incorrectly (‘Cancel’ is just ‘Ca’) or aren’t accessible on an iPhone X.

I just gave up and uninstalled it. I would give it zero stars if possible.

Doesn’t work.

Impossible to make it work.

Thanks for the update

The last update has resolved some of the issues and the app now works really well as it did before.

Really useful app

Great way to visualise stove in fireplace. Works really well on ipad air.

Could be good

This app could be good except that it doesn't connect to the correct page to download the tag.

221MB

221MB to, float a picture of a fireplace around, really?

Not very good

Not sure what its supposed to do but on an ipad air this simply is a waste of time!

Simple and clever app

Aa

Needs work

Great idea and almost works but navigation is poor and augmented reality operates at the wrong angle so have to twist my head sideways. Feels like being drunk during an earthquake while watching an 80s music video. iPhone 5c.

Brilliant app

Great way to find the best Charnwood stove for your house
