Best app to learn and Improve your conversational skills!
I’ve tried a few different apps to learn Spanish but this is the only one that has really helped me feel confident with daily conversations. I love that it encourages you to speak and focuses on words and phrases that you actually end up using in the real world!
Refreshing app
The very first moment was a conversation which was both invigorating and fun. I jumped right in, not worrying too much if my conjugation or word placement in a sentence was perfect. By allowing myself to feel free of trying to get it all right from the start, Nora (the app's Al chat pal) was showing me corrections in real time. And the conversation continued. I learned in 10 minutes what would have taken much longer outside of interactive conversation. Already passing this on to friends and family.

Real conversation
This app has been incredible and allows me to have actual conversations rather than just clicking and typing on letters that feels like it’s just giving me the answers. Having to respond directly to questions being asked, makes it feel more like real life, as well as gives me the opportunity to see the mistakes that I’ve made. After each conversation the app will let you know mistakes that you had made and this gives me the opportunity, correct it immediately. Through daily practice, I have been able to enhance my vocabulary.

Best language learning app out there
Finally - an app where you actually practice speaking! The “recap” after every conversation is just what I need to point out little things I often miss - like when to use the subjunctive. Reading about it in a book never coded it into my brain in a way that I could quickly land on the right conjugation. But by actually speaking using ChatPal, after just a few days I already feel myself landing on the right form of the words more often.

Switching from Duolingo
I’ve been using Duolingo for the last several years to practice Spanish, but never fully addressed the hardest part of learning a language: actually speaking it. After just a week on ChatPal, it’s already become the missing part of my routine! The app focuses on realistic scenarios - like ordering food and everyday conversations, making the practice feel practical and relevant. I have fun practicing my Italian with Nora. I find it particularly helpful that she can go from conversation partner to tutor and back to conversing within the same chat, seamlessly (even if I need to use some English here and there to keep going).

Very intuitive app and natural speaking experience. Feels like talking to a friend in a low stakes environment. My Spanish has gotten a lot better and my confidence is way up! Excited to try other languages!

My new French best friend
For someone who knows un petit peu of French but who always freezes when asked a question while traveling, it’s so nice to have an app like ChatPal to build confidence in actual French conversation! Super simple and exactly what I need to practice the basics, work on my pronunciation, and build my ability to string together sentences on the fly. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting to level up their French!

Conversational first
Really appreciated how the focus is conversational. One of the hardest parts about learning a language if you are not immersed is practicing conversationally. This app has that integrated into the learning journey in a super intuitive way.
My new pal
Incredibly conversational. As a long time Duolingo user, there is just no replacement for conversational learning, and I have not found a better program yet for this than ChatPal.

Conversation Buddy
ChatPal is like your own little language conversation buddy. Rather than just filling in blanks, you have a chance to practice talking with someone in a different language. The conversations are fun and flow naturally. I love it!
Fun conversation
Excellent app! Conversation is the best way for me to learn languages. You can only go so far with flash cards and phonics. I highly recommend this app if you’re looking to gain language proficiency.

This app is great. It makes learning a language appealing and quick! I’ve used it to brush up on my Spanish and can do so easily in the moments I find to myself. It’s enjoyable chatting with Nora and afterwards I get useful feedback to improve my language skills (if I decide to check them out). It’s a low-pressure, simple and effective way to learn or improve your language skills.

I’ve already noticed a few new phrases that have stuck with me and that’s so exciting! I also find myself using Spanish more around the house with my family.

The language learning app I’ve been waiting for!!
As a once advanced Spanish speaker with no one to practice with I’ve been frustrated as my skills have gotten rusty. ChatPal is the perfect remedy. The detailed analysis that provides feedback on unnatural phrasing, gender misalignment, and other nuances is exquisite. This alone feels like it can bring my Spanish to the next level. The challenge of speaking in real time is also so effective. I felt myself regaining confidence and skill in just a few minutes!

Outperforms all other apps
I've lived all over the world and had to do a lot of language learning in my time. I've used almost all learning tools: Rosetta Stone, CD-ROMs, Duolingo, and most recently, ChatGPT. I can say definitively, Chatpal outperforms them all. Its focus on conversation-first language learning is not only refreshing, but has gotten my Spanish from an A1 to B1 level in under a month, and my French from a B1 to B2 level in that same time frame. The session recaps where you can see your conversation accuracy and dig into your mistakes are outstanding, and really what sets this app apart from the competition. Language immersion and one-on-one tutoring will never be beat, but Chatpal reigns supreme when it comes to digital language acquisition. Merci, Nora!
