About
Who had the tofu?
CheckPlz ends the group-chat math thread. Scan the receipt, send one link, and everyone taps the dishes they actually ate. Tax and tip prorate themselves. You get a clean list of who owes what, down to the cent.
Create an account to keep your groups and balances together. Friends can claim items from a shared link in their browser without creating an account.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Scan - Snap the receipt. Line items land in a tidy list you can fix with a tap.
2. Claim - Share one link to the group. Everyone taps what they had. Split a shared appetizer between three people without doing any arithmetic.
3. Settle - See exactly who owes whom, and how much. Mark payments as paid to clear the balance.
WORKS FOR EVERYONE AT THE TABLE
Your friends do not need the app. A claim link opens in a browser with no download and no login. iPhone users get the native app and the iMessage extension, so the whole thing happens in the thread you are already in.
NOT JUST RESTAURANTS
Create a group for anything. A cabin weekend, a grocery run, rent, a road trip. Add expenses as they happen and let the balances build up over the trip instead of reconstructing them afterward.
CLAIM YOUR SPOT
Open a shared claim link in your browser to claim items as a guest. Create an account in the app to keep your groups, history, and running balances in one place.
SETTLING UP
CheckPlz is a coordination tool, not a payment processor. No money moves through the app and we never touch card numbers or bank credentials. Add your Zelle, Cash App, or PayPal handle to your profile and CheckPlz shows it, along with the exact amount, to whoever owes you. They send it from the app they already use. Paid cash at the table? Record it and the balance clears for everyone.
WHY PEOPLE USE IT
- Itemized splitting, not just divide-by-four
- Automatic prorated tax and tip
- Shared items split across any number of people
- Receipt photos kept with the expense
- Running balances across a whole trip
- Guests can claim items from a browser link
