About

Chess Clock turns your iPhone or iPad into the clock that sits between two players. Two huge tap zones, no menus in the way, and timing that stays exact from the first move to the last. FOUR TIMING MODES - Sudden death: the classic. Run out and you flag. - Fischer increment: time is added to your bank after every move you complete. - Bronstein delay: you get back what you spent on a move, up to the delay. - Simple (US) delay: your main time only starts running once the delay is used up. READY IN ONE TAP Blitz 3+2, Blitz 5+0, Rapid 10+0 and Classical 90+30 are built in. Build and save your own for club nights, with any name and an optional move-limit label. BUILT FOR THE BOARD - Both halves are mirrored, so the clock reads right-side up from either side of the table. - A move counter for each player. - Undo the last tap when someone hits the wrong half. - Pause and resume without losing or gaining a single second. - The screen never dims or locks during a game. - Close the app mid-game and pick the position back up where you left it. EXACT, NOT APPROXIMATE The clock never counts ticks. Every reading is computed from timestamps, so a phone call, a notification or a trip to the home screen cannot make it drift. GAME HISTORY Every finished game is saved: the result, how long it ran, and how long each single move took for both players. Add a note, tag where you played and attach photos of the board or the scoresheet. CHESS CLOCK PRO Unlock four board themes and four flag alert sounds, and remove every ad. Pay once and keep it for good, or pick a weekly, monthly or yearly plan and cancel any time from your App Store settings. Works completely offline. No account, no sign-up, nothing to configure. Chess Clock is a timer for over-the-board play. It does not validate moves, enforce rules or record notation. What's New in Chess Clock & Game Timer

1.1

September 10, 2026

• The clock now waits to be started instead of running the moment it opens: the first tap on either half starts the game, exactly like pressing a real chess clock • Below one minute the digits turn amber, and red in the last ten seconds, so you can see the time running out from across the table • You can now see and hear what Pro unlocks before paying for it: every clock theme is drawn as a small version of the real clock face, and every locked alert sound plays when you tap it • Every timing mode now explains what it does in plain words, on the setup screen and where you choose it • Fixed: the "How it works" page and the purchase screen were still shown in English in every translated language • Fixed: Pro could be lost when the App Store could not be reached • The player name fields start empty instead of pre-filled
