keeps switching to rated mode
every time i open the app it switches me out of training mode and into rated mode. this started happening recently since last update or two.

Great chess app!
I really enjoy the difficulty scaling of the AI. My only complaint is that my purchase on osx has not transferred to the ios app. I'm still waiting for a response from the developers about if it is possible to use this osx license on my phone

Ces commentaires sont présents sur la version Pro téléchargée sur iPhone mais absent sur la version Pro installée sur Mac.

Great game for learning and entertainment

This APP continues to be how all other chess apps ARE MEASURED!
After years of continuous updates and marvelous improvements, Chess Pro is still cutting edge improvements and how all other chess apps in the App Store are measured and compared.
Skip the silly and goofy “animated” and weak chess apps that fail at the ability to be configured to levels, play backs, and strategic adjustment. This app is the what all chess apps developers strive to achieve, but never copy. This app continues to blow me away, and is light years ahead of its closest competitor in technical ability - and I have tried 95% of all chess apps and desktop software.
Lastly, I have to say it it is an improvement and a PLUS this app has lasted so long (with constant improvements) WITHOUT being “phased-out” whilst the developers come out with a brand new PAID replacement app, forcing you to “re-purchase” the “new and improved” app, or choosing to sell updates and improvements as “in-app purchases”, as is the case of the low-rent developers that must rely on this mercenary behavior to make money, since the quality and reputation of the app has stagnated and no longer generates money!

Been getting worse and worse after each recent update - now doesn’t load at all. Would give zero stars if I could. Pity - was very good until recently. By far my favorite chess app in the App Store! All in functionality and play/capabilities, and also this is a developer that - unlike a LOT of other developers, does not attempt to badger you with pay-for-play schemes using advanced features as reasons for silly subscriptions or further payment. They have never stopped “supporting” the app to move on to yet another app that must be re-purchased. They use the “old fashion” model of ‘updating and improving an already fantastic product’ to gather further business via reviews and word-of-mouth.
IF there was an award for Customer Dedication and Satisfaction, they would certainly have a trophy.
They continually update and support it with fantastic features that are challenging and entertaining. Forget about the other “glitzy” and “goofy” animated chess apps in the App Store. Those are for younger children, and off no challenge or configuration.
Hats-off to this app and their developers!

It does not work!
Used to be the greatest chess app unfortunately since dec ‘25 has become unreliable, it does not work, I mean once tapping the app icon it appears the initial page, it stays for few seconds and then I am pushed back. I am using iPhone 11 Pro updated IOS 26.2. I bought the access (final purchase, not monthly subscription) on May ‘24.

Paró de funcionar
Hace unos meses me encontré con una oferta de esta aplicación, la cual llevaba usando durante mucho tiempo, en la versión normal, la cual funcionaba con toda normalidad, pero hace unos días, al intentar abrir la app, simplemente no carga y no se puede acceder a ella. Mandé un mail al departamento de soporte, pero nadie se ha dignado en responder, ni ofrecer solución, tampoco en devolverme el dinero. Una pena, ya que esta app me parecía muy buena…la versión gratis sigue funcionando…como es esto….¿si pagas, las cosas van peor o que? 😂
