Something fishy
So I’ve been playing this game for a long time and I know I’m not crazy cause it only does it when somebody’s losing but my opponent will move a piece and then I attack that piece or just move another piece and then after that their piece that they had moved before me, would move again in the same play or whatever play to benefit them like it’s skip my move only to attack me someone’s figured out how to hack this game because it happens with several people only when they’re losing

Weak
Unfortunately, one of the biggest weaknesses of this game is the quality of the alternative moves it suggests after you make a “weak” move. The recommended move often seems to focus only on the immediate position rather than analysing several moves ahead, as a proper chess engine would, taking into account the overall placement of both your pieces and your opponent’s.
For example, I had a square under attack by an opposing rook, and the game suggested responding with my rook. However, from a longer-term positional perspective, defending with my knight was a much stronger option and better preserved my overall setup.
For me, this is one of the most significant shortcomings of the app. Aside from that, it is a very enjoyable tool for practising, exploring, and improving your chess.
Finally, I wonder if this weakness is based on the tokens that you have to use for the proposed move as it uses a token to show it to you? and you must spent little diamonds to “buy” those tokens? Just food for thought…

The BEST chess game out there
I’ve been playing for years since this was released on Apple Arcade. I’ve tried other chess apps and none of them come close to how exceptional this one is. Something about the check effects, the sound effects and the clean design makes for a really satisfying game.
Not for beginners
This app has what it calls chest lessons but they are very poorly done. They don’t explain things & don’t give begiiners a chance to play in a way to learn in the matches. This is really for expert players.
Nice ➡️ better
It’s amazing for normal chess and I love it but with the name chess universe+ I would think it would have all the different versions of chess like fairy chess and I think it be cool to be able to create your own chess pieces within the app so yeah great for normal chess but it’d be better if it actually included the universe+ in the game and not just in the title.

Cool but also frustrating limits
I’ve enjoyed playing this chess game because of all the avatars and chess sets you can unlock, mix and match, create your own look etc. However I’ve now bumped into some sort of limit and can no longer unlock the remaining few characters such as the Warlock for example.
The computer play is pretty poor, it should have better calibrated levels as you progress, as on chess.com, the easy levels are really stupid and it would be better if the gameplay adjusted to match around the player’s ELO, ie: -200, 0, +200.
The post-game analysis options are also limited, in particular missing the “show me” feature in chess.com which explains why a move may be good (or poor).
Overall, whilst this is a more fun & appealing game, it has limitations that the developers could easily improve on.

Irreführende falsche Angaben
Was auch immer ihr unter „sehr leicht“ versteht… auf jeden fall ist es gelogen. Bei „sehr leicht“ kommen zu oft fast unlösbare Aufgaben. Eine Frechheit ist das!

Horrible app for chess
Just play chess.com. No point in using this inferior version of online chess. Terrible chess bots. No anti cheat. Just a bad app
It lost all my data
I have played this game for many many hours. Collected almost all the boards and sets. Beat many of the mini game challenges. Then the game forgot all my progress. I love chess but I don’t want to redo all the lessons games. Very disappointing.
Doesn’t belong in Apple Arcade
This app operates like a free/pay to play app. Wait 24hrs until next match. Even within the Apple Arcade. The settings are so limited, the chess pieces move so fast that you miss where your opponent moved.
Learning chess
It is the best way to get kids interested in playing board games, versing someone and learning you can not win all the time.

App is not Syncing
For some reason, the app is not syncing and continues to ‘clock’ or spin when attempting to open. I have deleted the app, re-add the app. Then the app will load, however, when trying to sync my gamer ID and pull in all my data, the app continues to ‘clock’ and never syncs and pulls in the data related to my gamer ID. Fun app, until this started happening. Please fix.

Stopped Working on iPad
The app was working fine for iPad up until 23 June 2026. Now it hangs indefinitely when opening the app. If I delete and reinstall the app, I’m able to play but cannot connect with Game Center to retrieve my progress. Attempting the connection with Game Center also hangs indefinitely, but worked prior to 23 June. Please address this.

Game Center ID stopped working
It was working well for a month but now it won’t let me use my Game Center ID. I push the allow button and it hangs forever. This just started happening June 23. Before today, I could allow use of my Game Center ID just fine. Please help.

Bug
Whenever I have to leave the chess board to add Hunt, Shield or Evaluate feature and come back, the row of the chess board becomes covered by Coins, diamond and + sign. Making it impossible to continue playing. I have a screenshot, but don’t see a place to share it.
