Amazing Tool for Open Mics and Jams in Chicago
Over the years I’ve lived in Chicago, we never really had an app that provides event info of open mics and jams throughout Chicago! Being able to view events through a map, and pinpointing locations is so helpfully. With the addition of easily adding your own events on the app, it’s something Chicago Creatives deserve.

This apps gives you a map of the city of chicago and shows what areas open mics, music jams and events are happening in the city. There’s a calendar and if you are a curator, you can add your event to get approved to appear. It’s real easy and free
Need a Chicago jam session?
I’ve lived in Chicago for over 15 years, and one thing I know about this amazing city is that we have some of the most talented musicians and up-and-coming artists in the world. However, it can be tough to know where to go to connect with other musicians like myself.
I was introduced to the ChiBrations app through the founder and musician Sam Thousand, and after downloading it, I quickly fell in love with its user-friendly platform. I run a nonprofit called Stomping Grounds Literary Arts Initiative, where we host a monthly open stage, and this app has been a great resource for helping us spread the word and connect with the larger Chicago creative community.
I also love the social media aspect of ChiBrations. After posting our events, they are approved, and ChiBrations creates wonderful videos to promote them on their own social media channels, which is incredibly helpful. I’ve seen ChiBrations live-stream events, highlighting them in real time, and they’ve even started hosting their own shows, bringing in artist collaborators through “The Portal,” which I’ve attended and enjoyed.
Overall, this is a fantastic app that I’ve used for about a year, and I can’t wait to see how it grows. If you’re looking for an incredible Chicago jam session or a way to connect with the local music scene, the ChiBrations app is for you.
