I can’t even read the magazine on the app. Followed the directions but I am unable to read the digital magazines.
Not Ready for Prime Time
The digital version is basically just images of the magazine pages in a single file with minimal interactivity. It’s cumbersome and annoying to use. Now I remember why I let my digital subscription lapse in the past.
Won’t download consistently
Continually having problem with downloading issues. Will work fine one day, next day download gone and won’t allow another as if I don’t have a subscription. Have to delete app, download again constantly. Very frustrating and not user friendly. Shame because magazine content is excellent.
Hot mess
Purchased print and digital subscription for my wife, but this stupid app will not accept my credentials. Hopefully, the print version is better than this, because like the Windy City itself, the digital version blows

The newest version of the Chicago magazine tablet app is great! Easy to download, well organized and enough bells & whistles to differentiate from the old one. A definite improvement, and well worth the time and money to purchase. Good job, Chicago magazine!
3+ years of past issues gone
I went to download the latest issue and lo and behold the app no longer recognized my iPad. 3+ years of magazines are gone and I have no way of getting them back.
Worst Online Magazine App EVER!
App doesn't work. Supposedly, as a subscriber, all you have to do is download the "virtual" online version. However, when you try, it asks for your iTunes password and requests you pay $2.99 for the "free" download. When you call their tech support, they have the same problem and say they'll look into it--but never do. When you call the publisher, they also have the same problem, also say they'll look into it, and also never do. What total amateurs! The thing doesn't work. Don't bother!

Great Magazine. Horrible Execution

When a page is cut off and you can't scroll to read it. When so little thought is given to the difference between hard copy and the iPad screen. You can only say this trash execution.

Still terrible, no support.
This app was issued a much-needed update but it's even buggier than before. I'm a subscriber yet I can't download a single magazine now. Probably will not end up renewing. Such a disappointment.
Horrible app!!! Stick to print subscriptions if you are lucky enough that they show up.
Haven't been able to read any issue from my past years subscription as the crashes constantly. I switched to a print subscription in November. It is now the end of May and I have yet to receive an issue. Very disappointed.

Please fix
I see all the bonus content in the digital version when I read my paper copy....would be nice if I could get this app to work. Can't log in, restore my purchases and when I try to download an issue it wants to charge me $2.99. I've tried to log in through Facebook...no luck. If this doesn't get corrected, I will rethink renewing my subscription!

Constantly crashes. Since subscribers are forced to go digital now, this crappy app MUST get fixed!
What a disappointment
I've been a subscriber for, gees, decades! And now you are forcing us to only continue with the subscription with a digital version. Okay, fine. But the experience is horrible! I have a first generation iPad, and your "old version" app shows me four issues of 2012 magazines! IT'S 2014!!! Why would I care about "current events" in 2012? Let's get it right, so we can move on! Prematurely deployed!

GUARANTEED CRASH
This is guaranteed to crash before you get through 10 pages. It crashes EVERYTIME. IT is not a part of newsstand. The crashes are unbearable. Biggest piece of cheap junk app that I have ever used yet alone paid for!
