What in the AI is this?

This is very clearly entirely AI generated content, and not in a good way. Books geared toward small children have lofty vocabulary and the illustrations do not always match what is being said. As one example, a book that is supposed to teach the verb ‘wash’ contains the words “with a towel and some water” to describe it…yet the picture instead shows a hand mop with maybe some bubbles but no water…and no towel. If you look closely at the illustrations there are many nonsensical errors. On some pages there are limbs in weird places, or faucets hovering mid-air, objects labeled with nonsense names etc. You can find something better for your child.

Response from developer

Thank you for taking the time to write this — you are right, and we are sorry. The "Learn verb" rhymebooks are our oldest titles, and some of their pictures do not match the words. We have now checked every page of that series; the weakest books are being removed, the rest are being corrected, and the verses are being rewritten in simpler language. The newer stories (The Big Pig, Max Can Hop, The Snow Queen, This Is Me, Pigeon) were made with much more care, and we hope you will give one of them a try. — Alex, ReadingBuddy

Moyen âge

App développée en 1980 ?

Response from developer

Merci pour votre retour. Vous aviez raison : l'ancien écran d'accueil datait. La version 3.0 (septembre 2026) a entièrement refait l'accueil, ajouté une étagère « Apprendre à lire » et amélioré la lecture accompagnée. Si vous réessayez, nous serions heureux d'avoir votre avis. — Alex, ReadingBuddy

Please add an automatic page turn feature

1. I want to love this app… but my child will not press the arrow button to turn the pages. I could not find this option.

2. The child voice reading the books is unappealing to me. The articulation is not strong and does not offer clear language modeling.

Response from developer

Thank you for your review! 1. The new version 2.0.0 adds auto-scrolling. Open a book > Open the book options dialog from the toolbar > Select auto-scrolling 2. You can change reading speed in the Settings. Additionally, we are adding books read by professional voice artists.
