Hiking trail view is limited
Trails are only visible when zoomed in so far one cannot get the big picture.
Also it would be nice to be able to highlight individual trails since otherwise it is hard to see which trail is which when there are many intersections

I used this app to plan a group trip with friends to Zion National Park it created a custom itinerary for us, cool and solid app.
App crash on iPhone 14promax
Application is been crashed after installation and unable to open it.

Paying for apps is not good. Everything else is going to cost money.

I’ve been using the Chimani app for years to keep track of our outdoor family adventures. It has great hiking maps within the national parks and the gps tagging allows you to easily keep track of your destinations and accomplishments.
After recently upgrading my phone I was not able to log in because I forgot my password and didn’t have access to my old email address. I thought I had lost all of my data but Kerry with their service team came to the rescue, and did so much more quickly than I anticipated!
If you spend a lot of time in the parks, this app is a must-have!

Impossible to log in
I have no idea whether the app actually works. It requires a log in but won’t let me create a password. The forgot my password link indicates a reset link has been emailed to my email but after trying that about a dozen times today I can say that it doesn’t work. No email and nothing in the junk/SPAM folder either.

Free Trial??
I would love to write a legitimate review however when I signed up for the trial, I didn’t get to use it. I had access to it for 24 hours before Chimani would no longer allow me to enter the site without choosing a payed plan. Disappointing bc I find this app expensive and I wanted to be able to trial it prior to purchase.

Great app!
I’ve been using this app for many years and find it incredibly useful! There are a few little things that have been identified in other reviews, so I’m not going to repeat them. This app is well worth having and using if you frequent the National Parks - especially if you hike into the parks, beyond the parking lots and congestion. I spend a lot of time on remote trails, and some not so remote. There have been several times this app helped me find my way back after a long day on a confusing trail system. I always carry a paper map (as a backup), but there’s nothing like being able to view your location on a downloaded map of the trail system! Btw, I even carry a small solar panel to charge my phone.
As with most apps, you MUST use it and familiarize yourself with it to fully benefit from its many features.

Been using the app for tracking my visits to both national and state parks for a long time. Love seeing where I have been and planning stops on my travels.
Their support is great. When I got a new phone I was unable to login to my account for my history. Kerry quickly found the problem with my account and corrected the issue. I am back to planning.

Fantastic guide app
The app was a tremendous assistance while we toured Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Real time downloaded info and location identification made our park visits more enjoyable and less work than would have been possible with hard copy maps. Great purchase. Bought the lifetime membership to help with future park visits.
