About
Tap. The ball launches straight up. Thread it through the gap in the spinning
neon ring and the ring shatters - and the next note of the melody plays.
Miss, and the phrase falls apart.
You are not playing a ring game. You are playing an instrument that happens to
keep score. Best played with sound on.
EVERY PASS IS A NOTE
Most tap games give you a beep. Chimeloop gives you a phrase. Each pass triggers
the next note of a pentatonic scale, notes overlap and decay into one another
instead of cutting each other off, and a quiet sub-octave sits underneath for
weight. There is no background loop - the playing is the music. A good run
actually sounds like a good run. Even failing sounds good: the phrase resolves
back down to the root.
HOW IT PLAYS
- One tap, one hand, portrait. No tutorial, no account, no aiming.
- A neon ring spins around the center with a single gap in it.
- Launch the ball, slip it through the gap, shatter the ring.
- The ring speeds up and the gap narrows the longer you survive.
- Every 8 passes the ring flips direction, the palette changes, and a harmony
note lands on top of the melody. A beat drop you earned.
COMBO, FLAMES, BURNOUT
Passes taken in rhythm build a streak up to a 3x multiplier that pays both score
and coins. Orange flames crawl in from all four edges while the combo is alive,
growing with the multiplier and guttering out as your window closes - so you
watch the streak slipping instead of finding out it's gone. Wait for a safe gap
and you keep the run, but you lose the fire.
THE FEEL
Hit-stop, screen shake, a bloom swell and sixteen shards on every single pass.
Six hand-authored palettes that drift for the whole run. Ring, ball, shards and
flames are all drawn procedurally with custom shaders, so everything stays razor
sharp on every screen from SE to Pro Max - and the whole game fits in 31 MB.
Deep black backgrounds built for OLED.
FORGIVING ON PURPOSE
The gap is judged slightly wider than it is drawn, and the crossing is decided
at the exact instant the ball touches the ring rather than on a physics tick. If
you think you got through, you got through. This is timing, not a coin flip.
EARN, DON'T PAY
- 5 ball skins that change the shape, not just the color
- 6 neon palettes, each with its own variations
- 4 instrument sets that change what your runs sound like
- Three fresh daily missions, the same set for every player each day
Every coin comes from playing. No in-app purchases. No energy. No lives. No
login. No forced ad before you've learned the game.
Plays offline. Seconds to learn, endlessly repeatable. One hand, one tap.
