Chimeras: The Lost Film by LynxMinx
This game was a combination of film noir, an ill-fated and manipulative romantic entanglement, and the supernatural. The general gameplay was extremely addictive (Elephant at its finest), some of the inventory tools were innovative, and the HO scenes had an interesting and challenging variety. I did not love the mini-games, as most were of the trite, rotational sort. The game was a decent points to indicate available actions. I generally don’t love this series, but I have to admit this game was terrific. I deducted a star for the crashing issue. In addition, I do not love the layout of the strategy guide. Put all the collectibles’ location at the end of the guide! Also, one of the mini-games had a random solution? There is no such thing! Every puzzle has a solution. Newer gamers would have taken umbrage at not being able to solve that particular game. My sentiment is this: stop playing for achievements. Instead, just enjoy the game!
I wanted to say thank you to every gamer who wrote to me with words of encouragement and prayer, when I announced that my boyfriend has cancer and I could use some much-needed support. Thank you again, everyone!
