Volume turned up to the loudest, no sound. It looks like it would be an awesome app. I want it to work for me.

Thank you for your feedback, and we're sorry you're unable to hear any sound. If you're using an iPhone, please check that Silent Mode is turned off, as the app's audio may be muted while Silent Mode is enabled. Also, please check that the sound is not being sent to Bluetooth headphones or another audio device. We hope this helps, as we'd really like you to be able to use the app. If the issue continues, please let us know.

Very good app

I really like this app as it’s helping me with my tones and overall Mandarin. It’s great not to lose point or a heart or whatever for getting something wrong, like a lot of apps. I also find the Pinyin Chart really helpful. I definitely recommend it.

I use it every day

Real life Chinese teacher told me that the most important thing to learn first is Pinyin. So every day in addition to my other Mandarin Chinese studies I spend 15 or or more minutes using this app. I especially like the way in the quiz where you compare two different words it lets you hear how both words are supposed to sound after you make your choice between the two.
I would gladly and ungratefully pay for a virgin that is ad-free.
I was very pleased to discover that the developer had made an update to this app one week before I wrote this review.

This app is a god send for learning tones! No computer generated voices, clear pronunciation, and a good game for studying! It’s simple and exactly what I needed for studying tones!
