Great app, great service!

I’ve been using the app for over a year now and it is the only one I found that has everything I need in one place. Really simple to understand too.
I contacted support to see if there was a way to extend my subscription to also cover an Android tablet that I use for work now instead of my iPhone and they were back to me within a day or so with the solution that allows me to login with the same email address on my single subscription.
For £14 a year this pays for itself every time I use it.

Response from developer

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We do offer a portion of the app for free, with full functionality available via subscription or a one-time purchase. Developing, maintaining, and adding new features takes substantial ongoing investment, and these options are what support that work. Pricing is listed clearly on our App Store page before any purchase.

Response from developer

Hi there — thank you for your review, and we’re really sorry to hear this! We believe we’ve already been in contact with you via email, but haven’t heard back recently. We’d love to help get this sorted — your purchase should absolutely unlock full access. Please open the app and go to Settings → Unlock All Features → Restore (at the bottom of the screen) while signed into the same App Store account used for the subscription. That usually fixes it instantly. If it still doesn’t work, please reply to our last email or reach out to us directly at support@chippytools.com — we’ll get it resolved straight away. Thanks again for your patience and support, — The Chippy Tools Team 🛠️

Priceless: For the do-it-yourselfers

There’s a small heap of formulas used to estimate & calculate materials. It is invaluable to have all of them in one offline database. From square feet or cubic yard, the DIYr will self-combust crunching the numbers (one conversion wrong and the project comes to a halt). Chippy makes some of those calculations easy and that’s worth the price of admission.

Thanks so much for the awesome review — this absolutely made our day! We love hearing that Chippy Tools is helping take the stress (and potential “self-combustion” 😅) out of all those tricky conversions and material estimates. We built Chippy Tools to make those on-site and DIY moments faster, easier, and a whole lot less frustrating — so it’s great to know it’s hitting the mark for you. Thanks again for your support and for being part of the Chippy Tools community! — The Chippy Tools Team 🛠️

Response from developer

Thank you so much for updating your review! We're thrilled to hear you're finding value in Chippy Tools. As mentioned, we've always offered a one-time purchase option since launching in Aug 2021, and any previous purchase unlocks the current version automatically. We appreciate you giving us another chance and are glad the app is working well for you. If you ever need assistance, don't hesitate to reach out to support@chippy.tools. Happy building!

Not professional

I wish I had singed up for free trial before I paid for the lifetime purchase. Not for professional use at all. The options to input information are almost non existent. No seat cut option for rafters, no stair angle option for baluster spacing, the list goes on. Way too basic. For a diy home owner it might help a little but I do not recommend this app at least not if you have to pay

Response from developer

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Chippy Tools doesn’t currently include rafter seat-cut, stair-angle or baluster-spacing calculators, and we don’t list them in the App Store description. These tools are on our feature-request list and we prioritise new additions based on how many requests we receive. If you’d like us to let you know the moment they’re released, just email support@chippy.tools and we’ll pop you on the update list. Your feedback shapes what we build next – cheers for sharing it!
