Chiyuv – A Memorial App for Parents Chiyuv is a convenient and accurate app for tracking the mourning period and the obligation to recite Kaddish after the passing of a parent. The app automatically calculates the number of Kaddish prayers required each day, following Halachic guidelines: • Accurate calculation based on the Hebrew calendar • Accounts for Shabbat, holidays, Chol Hamoed, Rosh Chodesh, and fast days • Calculates Kaddish for Shacharit, Mincha, and Maariv prayers • Option to track whether serving as Chazan or only reciting Kaddish • Support for two locations: Israel or abroad The app tracks the 11-month obligation period and displays detailed statistics for each day, making it easy to track recited Kaddish prayers and fulfill the obligation accurately.
