A good and simple designed app, but missing some important tools for guitar
A good app with simple design to find most chords you need to play a song. Should not be worth the money displayed because It does not have features like the scales, circle of fifths, metronome, and the fretboard is not scrollable, and limited to 6 max frets on a fretboard. The custom chord also does not generate or identify some chords that other apps generate.

I have been playing for years and never studied music. This app helped me fullfill the gap between knowledge and creativity, now my inspiration became the limit not the "know how" you can progress any chords possible and your own, and save the project. Thank you! my wife is less happy now..... be glad I wrote the review not her.

Jazz & 6 Strings
Simply delighted. I've paid more for a good wine, but when it's gone, it's over. Not the case here. This app is straight forward and delivers as promised. When I have an idea for a song or want to simply experiment and don' have my strings handy, this covers it! Thanks so much.
Great app, well designed and executed
This is a truly useful app. I been playing for years but sometimes I'm at a loss for a chord that'd be perfect for something I'm working on. If that's ever a problem for you, this is definitely the app for you.
Easy to work with and great assistance to build progressions
I have been looking for a chord dictionary that helps in building progressions and that's not just a list of chords. This is a great that recommends next chords for a progression. Its exactly what I was looking for in progression building and quick testing when I'm not holding a guitar.
It's the perfect chord dictionary and progression building app. I will look no more.
Plus the developer was extremely helpful in making changes to the app so that it run on my phone. Great help and very responsive

Best guitar chord and tuning app!
I love this app especially since I play a lot of slash chords eg. (E/C#) and I can put in just about any crazy chord I can think of and it'll show me how to play it. I also love this app because of its versatility in other tunings. You can the tunings and it'll show you how to play whatever chord you want for that tuning. Yea it's 5$ but trust me but it and you'll never want to use any other guitar chord app again.

Alot of good features but...
This app has a lot of good features but would be better if you could bookmark specific chords. The way it is now, it remembers you searched for a "C" and you have to flip through 21 chords to get to the one you want.

As a professional guitarist, I highly recommend this app. I have been very pleased with it as it has met and exceeded any expectation I have had for what an app like this should look and function like. Also, the customer support is great; they truly care about their customers and I have always had a quick, personal response and interaction with them for any questions I have had. All in all, it is a great investment for the professional and beginner alike.

Disappointingly good
ChordMate for iPad doesn't offer anything different from ChordMate for iPhone, and therefore should be included in the ChordMate for iPhone purchase (compatible for both iPhone and iPad). This should be included in the next update for the iPhone app and for future customers. One app. One price.
The fact that they were two different apps was very, very disappointing.

Absolutely excellent
Very nice interface and very good customization. Pops up with many different fingerlings for each entry giving you room to explore. One thing that totally surprised me is that it does tons of alternate tunings (including DADGAD) which massively increases it's utility for me. Nice job!

I've tried most of the chord finder apps and this is the easiest I've found for my needs. Love that you can sort by difficulty and other criteria, such as no barre chords. Alternate tuning support is super nice too.
