Chordora displays your songs exactly as you need them to play: lyrics and chords in a clean layout, large enough to read, and without control bars to obstruct your view. PLAY INSTEAD OF NAVIGATING The stage view fills the screen. A button starts the auto-scroll; you can swipe yourself at any time, and the scroll resumes where you left off. A simple tap won’t stop it – that happens all too easily in the heat of the moment. ANY KEY, INSTANTLY Up or down by a semitone. The chords follow suit; your source text remains unchanged. If desired, the notation can be based on the circle of fifths for the target key, so that Eb appears where it belongs, rather than D sharp. If you write H instead of B, you can set the app to German notation. SETLISTS FOR THE GIG Group songs into setlists, reorder them with a single tap, and colour-code them. A song can appear in as many lists as you like without being duplicated. EVEN THAT NOTEBACK FROM THE ATTIC Often, a song is based on nothing more than a handwritten sheet of paper. The built-in document scanner detects the edges of the sheet, straightens them and boosts the contrast — multiple pages in a single pass. Photos are given equal weight alongside the lyrics: a song can have both, just lyrics, or just photos. IMPORT FROM THE WEB Copied songs usually appear as a line of chords above the lyrics. When you insert them, Chordora recognises this and positions each chord on the correct syllable. If one lands in the middle of a word, it snaps to the word boundary rather than splitting the word. PDF FOR THE BAND A song or an entire setlist as a PDF — with a cover page, track list and page numbers, including the photos. For anyone who doesn’t have an iPhone to hand. Individual songs can also be sent as a ChordPro file, an open text format. AN EDITOR THAT THINKS FOR ITSELF Chords, directives and comments highlighted in colour.
