Finally music learning is made easy for beginners!!

ChordPadX is absolutely brilliant! As someone who isn’t a trained piano or keyboard player, I’m amazed at how intuitive and user-friendly the MIDI interface is. It makes creating music feel natural and enjoyable, even for beginners.

This app has truly opened up a whole new level of musical creativity for me. It strikes the perfect balance between power and accessibility. Huge thanks to the developer for building something so inspiring and easy to use!

You make my day. Thank you for this amazing review! I’m glad you like the app! :)

Great support

Noticed a midi issue and it was corrected in the new update.

Chord midi out

Other similar apps have some of the features but are missing the one I could use. Still don’t find how you set the chord intervals to transmit on different channels. I do see that you can set the bass to a different channel. As far as I can tell the rest of intervals go out on the same channel.

Please change it to allow sending each interval on a separate channel. This will allow using mono SWAM sounds for chords.

Doesn’t seem to allow breath to control sustain or dynamics. Tried adjusting the curve. I am using a wind controller but the chords are not responding to expressive control. The curve can be adjusted but it sounds like a keyboard is controlling them.

Seems a bit buggy. Sometimes playing the user interface the instrument changes. Also had pads change octaves and move. Made sure I was not in edit mode.

Don’t it has audio in the background or any function when stand alone or AUv3 is used. Not usable as a midi app without that.

I was able to drag and drop from Suggester but the voicing were changed to whatever instrument I had set. Not really an issue. Would like the ability to change voicings like you can in Suggester.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, I am not aware of the problem you described. Please contact support if you find what context or sequence of operations cause it, I would really like to fix it. Regarding voicings: all the inversions and open voicings that are in Suggester2 can also be used in ChordPadX2. They can be selected under chord, in the pad properties. Also, please contact support to discuss these issues directly with me. The AppStore reviews are not very convenient for discussing new features or bugs. Thanks!

Great tool!!!!

This is the ultimate tool I’ve been needing forever. It’s a quick and easy way to assign the chords of your choice to pads including strums, arpeggios, etc.. in flexible ways and with midi in and out, making your phone or iPad in to an midi controller for software or hardware.
