The best and the worst

As someone who does ear training over an hour a day, every day, it pains me to give this one star. It is one of the best ear training apps out there, but why it has been released with all those bugs is beyond me. Over half of the games do not work at all. Please fix these and I will come back and happily give it the 5 stars it deserves.

No headphones?

This is a great app that has one massive downside, which is no Bluetooth capabilities to connect to headphones. It’s annoying for people to listen to you doing ear training exercises, I wish I could use my headphones like I can with other apps.

Has Everything

I paid $25 for this app and have no regrets. I’m using it daily and I am FINALLY seeing some improvements in my ear training. It has endless options for ear training on progressions and intervals and so much more. Love it. Update: I had some minor glitches after an update. The developer was very responsive and helpful. Still my favorite ear training app.

Fun whilst learning

It’s developing my ear to differentiate chord qualities I.e. I or IV or V.

One of the Best Eartraing Apps

The ‘what’s the next chord/note’ games are so valuable and one of its kind ear training exercises, highly recommended!

cool app

pretty decent. i just wish that it showed each of the diatonic chords as options when doing the chord progressions instead of just the chords that are in the progression at the moment. that would make it a little more challenging and force you to really know instead of guess.

Very buggy

Contents are good but the app is full of bugs, even the submit bug report feature is buggy

The best I’ve tried!

I’m not sure but I think this works very well because you hear real instruments rather than midi instruments?

Regardless, it’s excellent. Very addictive. Very easy to use. The levels are graded and gradually get more difficult. Covers intervals, chord types and chord progressions. Suitable for absolute beginners to advanced musicians. Well worth unlocking for at least a month or two!!

Screen freezes

Aimee Nolte, an online music teacher, recommended this app. I installed it on an iPhone 11. I was disappointed to find to get access to all the chords, intervals, etc., you have to pay monthly with automatic billing on your Apple account. There didn’t seem to be any instructions for use. On my iPhone, if a premium option is accidentally selected, the screen freezes & I have to reboot my device to get back to the app. I deleted this app.

Came from Aimee's video

Hi I have just downloaded this app recently after I watched the YouTube video by Aimee. She used a early Android version in that video and seems that one has more advanced features. Especially, the quick response test for chord changes is really fun and I would like to use it. I wonder if you plan to add back those features in later. Thanks!

7th chords?

Really cool app, I love the idea of doing ear training with real music instead of just blocky sounding chords. However, are you planning on releasing more content for the main game featuring 7th chords?

App often crashes!!

It would be a good app if if never continually crashed!!! 😡

Incredible potential

This is literally the first app review I’ve written in like a decade of iPhone usage because I love this app that much. It has a long way to go but it perfectly fills a niche I’ve been looking for for so long now. I really hope it gains support because it could be an incredibly valuable tool down the line.

Bugs bugs but could be great

Has the potential to be the best ear trainer I’ve found. Great breadth of excercises and chords. But even though I’m a paying subscriber there are endless NULL errors that ruin progress and you have to force quit the app. Please work on these bugs so this can be a great app. Especially for paying subscribers
