Need some work

I like the app so far. It definitely encourages my 9yo to use to do her chores. I like that I can add chores and make adjustments, but options are limited for customization on the app. You can also add rewards which is cool. I allowed my kids to make up their own rewards which just led to them wanting to fill more chores.
Down side: my 7yo doesn’t have a phone and uses mine to complete her chores. In this mode she can’t take photos for her chores. I don’t want her to complete chores as me because she has access to all parental things at that point.
-maybe add a lock code for switching profiles.

The app has a bunch of potential. Just not quite perfect yet. Minimal latency between the coils finishing chores in their phone and when the parent gets a notification.
Super user friendly

Was Working….

Until it wasn’t. All of a sudden, chores that should have been repeating daily have randomly started disappearing for the entire family. No warning, no reason. It’s a shame as we rely so much on apps like these as our entire family suffers from ADHD. I can no longer trust in this app.

Please allow people to use the free version

I had no option but to accept a free trial I didn’t want. What’s the point of using the free trial? I am not going to pay $50 a year for this when I haven’t even used the free version. Please change this and allow for a way to back out of the free trial and use the free version first.

Just needs one more thing

The app is great. My kids agent motivated to do chores and get stars. Especially redeeming rewards. The only thing I ask is to add a widget so they can have on their phone and see how many stars they have and what chores needs to be completed. Seeing a widget would keep up the motivation and also be a reminder!

Lacking free version

Sure, you have a free trial, but the fact there’s no version of this which has less features but is free is kind of upsetting. Oh also, please lose the custom emoji expressions in the UI, they’re creepy lol

My kids are finally doing chores

I just got this app set up and the kids are loving it. I love the options of rewards and the ease of adding in chores. I have a Cozyla calendar and my kids are able to use this app on the android device while I’m able to update stuff on my iPhone, the cross platform is amazing. I would love to be able to add widgets to my Cozyla calendar (android), one that is a chore chart for one kid and a list that shows each kid would be cool too! Please tell me widgets are coming soon 🙏🏼

Love this app!

We’ve been using Chorly for a couple weeks now and love it! The kids look forward to completing their chores and it has GREATLY reduced my need to nag them. I did submit one suggestion via email, but I think a full list view of chores would be useful so you don’t have to scroll through the calendar. Anyway, I think that one thing would truly make this app perfect!

Really enjoying, but missing one thing…

So my family has been using Chorly for a few months now and it’s been working great for us: not only does the small one get their work done, but in a household with an Autistic wife and ADHD husband this really helps us assign things out neatly and clearly to each other.

But it comes with the downside of having to always click into the app.

Yes, there are notifications, but it just sort of ominously tells you “a chore” is coming up due, not what chore specifically. That alone would be a nice change, but what would make this the best of the apps I’ve worked with is a single thing: a widget. Just a little widget to sit there on my phone so I can tick things off and they can be more visual.

You guys are 🤏 this close to being perfect. That widget would push it there. :)

Chorly why did you have to do this

Chorly is really good for parents to believe you when you do your chores but a feature that I don’t like is when you earn a reward your stars reset making you have to start your journey all over again and it’s just so frustrating for rewards that require a lot of stars I mean a LOT, so its better to save your stars when you have like 50,000 or something, it might take an extremely long time, but it’ll be worth it.

Deleted user

My child can’t read and is autistic. I wanted an app like this to help him complete his chores, but he deleted his user and now the app doesn’t allow to add home back on. I thought deleting my account I could start over, that doesn’t work either. Otherwise I would give this app 5 stars.

Chores is now gonna be done

Cool

Chorly is amazing

My mum set this up for me and I used to hate doing chores, now with Chorly I do way more chores including cleaning 2 bathrooms taking my dog on walks and unloading the dishwasher. It is amazing get Chorly now!

No free option at all

It might pay to let people know your app can’t be used without a subscription 🤬🤬 instead of letting them go through the whole process of creating a family account and setup each member before introducing that bit of information 🤬

No free version, paid only

You need a free version of this. Something light, bare minimum of normal chores kids need to learn to be self-sufficient adults. It’s important to remember that not everyone can afford these things, especially parents with kids, so offering a free version where people can upgrade if they want is way better than getting to the end of set up and being asked for money. Free trials are great for those who can pay after. For those who can’t, not so much. Do something good for the world and create a scaled back version, so we have more little ones who know how to take care of themselves and others.

Too expensive

It's over $100 a year i hate these appa that make money off families price it at a reasonable price and maybe more families would use it

Subscription

I don’t like that it’s a subscription. I wish it were free, with the option to subscribe. For that reason I didn’t go through with it. Otherwise, I think it’s a great app that would’ve been beneficial for my family.

Chorly

I love this app I am a kid and it is great

THE BEST APP EVER!

So it lets you get prizes and it helps with chores love it!

Awesome concept. Needs some features

I absolutely love this app first off. Don’t get my review wrong for putting it at 4 stars. The things I have noticed that I would like to see fixed or added are.
- Allow a 2nd parent to not just edit but admin the chores as well. If my child sends a request to complete a chore, allow either parent to approve it and really interact with the child.
- chat of some sort. A way to cheer each family member on to complete their chores and give a high five when doing well.
- ability to take away stars/points same day. Sometimes a chore was completed like cleaned bedroom but then later in the day they mess it up again.
- see all chores assigned to your family members. Not just the ones on certain days.
- allow all family members to collaborate on job duties if needed. Some chores are too big for one person.

These are just a few. Hope to see some added soon. Would maybe make the $50 yearly price tag a lot more reasonable. Thanks
