Great approach!

Thank you for the Bible reading plans each year! This is my 3rd or 4th year reading through and I’m so thankful for what I’ve learned through reading consistently. It would be great if within each day’s reading plan the chapters were labeled not just the verses. I find myself having to scroll to figure out what chapter I’m on. This would be handy for verse memorizing or if there’s a verse we want to share. Love and appreciate everything Christ Church is doing! Please know your messages are reaching far beyond the many walls of Christ Church.

Frustrating

When this app works it’s amazing. I’ve never been more consistent with Bible reading. But when I wake up and find that the listening plan just doesn’t work today, it’s so frustrating. Then I have to write down today’s verses and go open another app to stay on the reading plan. Today I opened it to find all my days reading progress erased! I love the idea of the Bible Reading Challenge, or whole church is doing it. I’ve never been very good at keeping up, but this app was really helping. Now I’m left t trying to find another app. This one is not dependable. And there’s no way of contacting you other than this review.

New update needs adjusting

I agree with the other reviewer- this last update was not helpful. I have the same problems - defaults to NIV, starts at Genesis and I have to click “plan” each day to find today’s reading. If I can’t finish listening to today’s passages in one session and have to stop and return to it later, the app will either will not reopen today’s passage or I have to start all over again listening at the beginning. It was 5 star before. Help!

App Fixed

This app failed to download the reading plan for the last 2 days. After contacting Christ Church, the problem has been addressed and fixed. So appreciate their responsiveness in addressing the issue. This app has been a huge blessing and will continue to be!

Please take away the new update!

Before a few days ago, I would have given this app 6 out of 5 stars. It was simple, easy to use, and always worked. Then it updated and now none of those things are true.

The look is much less appealing and text is harder to read. It defaults to NIV (before it was ESV) with no intuitive way to switch back. Instead of starting on the plan reading page like before, the reading defaults on Gen 1:1 and I have to search for the plan. I have a dedicated Bible app for generic Bible reading. I use the ChristKirk app specifically for the ease of my daily Bible reading plan. It’s no longer easy.

As well, I *loved* the audio version of the daily reading because it was seem less - no pause between chapters. That actually helped me understand the flow of the story/arguments so much better. It’s how they would have read them before chapters and verses were added. Now, however, there’s a good 10-15 seconds of silence between chapters that makes you wonder if the audio is still working. Just as I was getting used to the jarring break, I reached a day where the audio *didn’t* work and I sat there like a dummy for a good 30 seconds waiting for the next chapter to play before even checking if something was wrong.

Please revert back to before all the changes! This was an amazing app! And now it’s just difficult and annoying, and I hate having to say that.
