Finally, facts
I was born in 1986 in Ukraine and so my entire life was spent in the shadow of Chernobyl. While thankfully my health wasn’t affected, I know many people who lost their health or their loved ones or their homes due to this catastrophe. Therefore, this project helps to finally understand the global impact as well as debunk myths connected with that incident.
The app is great because it allows exploring the still-radioactive sites from the safety of my home and the AR technology brings this experience to a new level (i.e. it’s not as if you’re just reading a wiki article from your computer, you can actually walk around some of the artifacts and see them from different sides.)
Thanks to the creators for taking time to build this app. Let’s learn about Chernobyl so that we don’t ever repeat those mistakes again.
