Listening to Science Friday on NPR somehow jogged me into wondering "what if there is a color reader out there that color blind people can point at objects and it will tell them what the color is?" My husband is profoundly color blind (and the irony is that I am an artist and profoundly color sensitive). So many objects that he works with are color coded , like his guitar strings, and I can't always be there to assist him. This app will help in so many ways! No more picking green tomatoes! Thank you thank you!

Great App!
I like how it simulates what I see as well as tell me what colour other people see. I can use the app discretely as well so I am not asking people what colour something is. The find colour option is great too. Well done!

I'm red-green colorblind and this app is a lifesaver for reading graphs and similar information when the colors were chosen poorly (and other everyday annoyances). And I can read nearly all of the standard colorblindness tests with this app.
If you want it to work well, you should give yourself fifteen minutes or so to tweak the settings and figure out how to use the color slider.
The "simulate" button doesn't do anything to my eyes, but my mother (who has normal color vision) told me it turned a red pot green, so I expect that works too.

True augmented reality! Extremely useful for colorblind people!
Finally a colorblind helper app that does the color modifications in real time! Once I figured out the settings (which are admittedly a bit technical), this app does exactly what I need: it highlights green or red regions in the camera viewfinder in real time! The three presets are also helpful, though I think you have to switch to the settings menu(?) to make changes stick.
