No point in playing.

There's never going to be multiplayer, so no point in grinding when there's no point.
Once they add multiplayer, then it'll be worth spending time on.

Response from developer

Hello there! Multiplayer is officially in =)

One complaint

Why do i have to wear pants.... i dont wanna

Not Bad

Something different and new, just keeps breaking down and a lot of bugs.

Farming meets monster catching

I was a bit wary getting it for the $12.99 price tag but after looking at the steam reviews I decided to give it a try and its a lot of fun

rn the fishing system is my biggest enemy, I never had issues with fishing on any of the other farm sims I play on mobile but this one feels weirdly difficult

Used 30 worms and only managed to catch 2 fish so at the start it doesn’t seem worth putting time into in comparison to farming

Stardew Pokemon

Stardew Valley Pokemon is pretty awesome. Everytime I visit the app store I am wondering why there arent more of this kind of farming sim. They are impossible to find! Like why not!! This one is still a bit clunky and twitchy. Obv still developing and working out the kinks. They are making it across like every format tho!! So I am just happy to play it at all. I am enjoying it immensly even with the minor issues. Thank you so much for making a farming rpg or whayever you call these kinds of games. Harvest Moon, Runecraft, Stardew Valley and now this one!

Doesn't appear to work

I hate to give this a bad review but this has game breaking bugs and is clunky to play.

First, the bug. When I get to the farm and exit out of the tutorial, I cannot move. Nothing shows up on screen anymore. I just see my character without any UI. I cannot get past that point at all. I've tried several times.

Second, the controls. They're bad. I've tried both the movement keys and the joystick. The movement keys are awful, so hard to use and keep going in conflicting directions. The joystick is okay but major problem is you can't adjust it's position and it's not comfortable on an ipad.

Now the interface shows you a spot where you should be able to adjust it's position but the controls ALWAYS revert back to original position. It doesn't ever save the new position. Also that screen is clunky. Let me change controls by dragging. Stardew Valley is excellent on controls.

Plus, why is adjusting the controls on a separate tab from changing the controls? It's just bad design.

If the game breaking bug is fixed and controls are actually made adjustable I might play this game. I still hate how clunky and poorly designed the menus are but I'd give it a chance.

Nostalgic and Amazing as is but still with so much potential

Old school pokemon vibe and farming sim rolled into one and if you dont want to farm you really dont have to. Hope this game gets noticed more so devs dont abandon it. Would hate for this gem to die out

Worst controls ever

I’d like to say this game has potential, but it’s too annoying to play. Menus are clunky. The directional move arrows are the worst design I’ve ever seen or used. Stardew and Pokémon sounds like an amazing concoction, but for the love of all that’s holy, make it playable

Response from developer

Sorry to hear your having issues! If you have a moment, I would love some insight into the specific controls and UI problems. An update goes out every week and I can be sure to have a fix in for the next one =) Reach out on Discord or email - support@stonegolemstudio.com

So close to being my dream game

I am gonna keep playing and I absolutely love the idea of this game. Cozy farming, creature collection, all of it. Unfortunately the UI/Controls are pretty bad and clunky. Also there’s a bug with my crafting table. I walk right through them and can’t pick them up either. I will happily change my review if these things are addressed!

Hey weirdbees! I would love specific info on the UI/controls that are annoying if you get a chance. You can email at support@stonegolemstudio.com or hit me up in Discord. Updates are constantly going out and i'll be sure to remedy the issue =)

Has potential but not polished

I have really enjoyed the game. I enjoy the grind aspect of a farming game. The grind for leveling up mons is too much though. Currently there is no way for me to continue using my starter. I have had to just capture new mons in every area in order to progress through the story. The mons gain the same exp is they beat a level 1 or level 60 opponent. That aspect needs to be corrected. I enjoy the grind but it is impossible to even grind up a starter at a certain point. Thanks for making the game though. Overall I am really enjoying it

Awful

I’m not so sure why the reviews are raving about this garbage.

Has potential but not polished

The monster will not follow commands in battle even though I am under leveled. I enjoy the game but the menu controls are difficult to use and progression is slow

Absolutely amazing and hard to put down

Best mobile game I have ever played. This game is incredible, with a lot of potential!! It combines the best of both worlds, farming and monsters taming + battling. The game is in early access as I write this, so expect some bugs, but nothing game breaking. The developer is extremely passionate and pushes out updates regularly. I highly recommend this game.

Great genre crossover

Game is in EA, but dev is on the ball in fixing bugs. The game itself can be played either with focus on farming like Stardew or training like Pokemon. I personally do a bit of both. There are shinies and monster breeding in-game if that draws interest. The monsters have skill trees with techniques that level up, and there are an assortment of these techs. The player chara themselves also levels up like Stardew with various benefits.

There are characters you can build friendship with by gifting like Stardew and there are benefits to befriending a town or city’s worth of npcs (just don’t let that one lady get near Oliver..).
The graphics and dialogue is cute and reminiscent of older rpgs. Music absolutely slaps. There is way more benefit to choosing the water starter than others early on but this may be balanced.

Thank you to the developer for promptly fixing bugs

Seems like a decent Pokémon x Stardew Valley adventure, though I haven’t gone very far into it. A solid thumbs-up to the developer for promptly fixing bugs that detract from the gameplay experience.

Unique, fun and addictive!

This caught my eye a few months ago and now that it’s out, I can’t stop playing! Worth grabbing if you like SDV and Pokemon and it’s a great combo!

Great job dev! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Appears to be a good game, but stuck in tutorial

Specifically, I can’t place monsters in the box for the tutorial. My only options when selecting a monster at the PC are “Summary” and “Release”. I have tried pressing and dragging from the party (nothing), pressing and dragging from a PC slot to the desired monster (nothing), pressing and dragging the monster portrait (nothing), tapping on all of the above in various orders (nothing), pressing and holding on all of the above (nothing), pressing any combination of the three at the same time (nothing), hitting “Select” (does nothing except making the color of the party slot slightly darker), tapping all around the screen looking for invisible icons (nothing), connecting the iPad to the Magic Keyboard and hitting every possible key (nothing), changing the control scheme and trying again (nothing)…

Also, when I hit the pencil icon next to a monster’s name, is that supposed to do something? Because it doesn’t.

I guess I’ll continue to play while having an incomplete tutorial and skip the tutorial if I must (the actual game seems like a decent Pokémon x Stardew Valley adventure), but not having a functioning PC interface in a monster-catching game seems like it could be a problem as I play the game. Also, the ‘down’ arrow button onscreen partially overlaps with the hotbar, which makes it difficult to press it.

Love the game

It’s a ton of fun. But I’m having trouble with the ui on iphone 13. Using touch controls, the menus are just too small, borderline unplayable. But still a great game
