Great Information, but…
It is nice to be able to quietly study on my phone while I rock my son to sleep. My main complaint is that the multiple choice format is, more often than not, wildly easy to guess the answer. Typically with multiple choice questions you can eliminate two dumb options and debate between the last two, but with these questions it’s often three. The obviously incorrect choices use biased words like “solely” or “only” to portray that the topic in the question is black or white. You can also guess a lot of these questions just by how long the answer choices are. Example:
How does effective hazard identification influence the design of emergency response plans on construction sites?
A. It solely details evacuation routes.
B. It only affects insurance documentation.
C. It informs targeted planning and allocation of resources necessary for incident management.
D. It neglects engineering controls.
With no prior knowledge of construction safety, incident investigation, etc. it’s pretty easy to eliminate three of these answer choices. I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but the app is designed well and has a lot of great information on it. I feel like a solution to this would be fairly simple, just adjust the wording on the answer choices to remove so many obvious wrong options.
