What's New in Chunk

2.6.3

November 1, 2026

Meet Workflows: hand Chunk the work you repeat, then review the finished file. This update also brings a simpler layout, answers that show their work, and new models. NEW • Ready for iPhone Duo: layouts adapt as you fold and unfold, and Notes and Artifacts keep their controls within reach. • Workflows (Pro): describe the job the way you'd brief a colleague, like "Draft the monthly report. Keep it to two pages." Chunk drafts it from your notes, documents and recordings, and hands back a PDF, Word or Excel file with its sources listed. You review every draft before you use it. • Run it your way: start a workflow yourself, on a schedule, each time you add files, or when something changes. Chunk can watch a collection, your notes, Library documents or a podcast. • Recordings: add audio or video (up to 200 MB) and Chunk transcribes it for the run, so a meeting recording can become a list of action items. • Copy as Markdown: paste a finished draft anywhere as clean Markdown. • Automations now live in Workflows. Your research topics, watchers and digests keep running there. • See the work: as Chunk answers, each step appears at the top of the reply, then folds into a short receipt with the time taken and the sources used. • Cited collection answers: numbered chips in collection chat show where each point came from. Tap one to open the source. IMPROVED • A simpler layout: Chat, Workflows, Library and Notes. Library (formerly Workstation) holds everything you've saved, and keyboard shortcuts follow the new order. • Simpler search: choose Auto, Library or Web, with Research, Assistant, YouTube and All under More. Auto picks the right sources for each question. • New models: GPT-6.1 Sol, Gemini 4 Argon and Gemini 3.8 Flash replace their earlier versions. • A new welcome: first-time setup shows what Chunk can do and walks through a workflow example. • Every language: alerts, error messages, counts and Collections headings now read correctly in German, Spanish, French, Italian and Japanese. FIXED • Resuming an automation at your plan's limit now shows your upgrade options in every language, instead of an error.

Not bad

Network timeouts keep occurring when the AI is doing something and i leave the app to wait for it to finish and it’s slightly glitchy

Ehh it’s tough to import information in

I should have never subscribed but alas here we are.

The good:
- clean UI
- nice MacOS counterpart
- built in LLMs do work

The bad:
- it is very hard to get information into this app on iOS. With respect to each productivity app I’ve used, I always import 10 or so random stock related files (in different formats) to see how the app handles the uploads. Well, unfortunately, the only information i was successfully able to import was an Apple note and a URL. Had no luck with PDFs, .jpegs, sharing from X, sharing from email, sharing from files or from photos.
…..and that’s when i gave up interest because if you can’t easily import and export information into an PKM or second brain app, then it serves no purpose. See HyNote….it is hands down the best all encompassing productivity tool on the market - across any device or platform - but it’s harddddd to get information into it for processing (and out of it for incorporation into a larger note system). Recall is probably the second best tool but it just doesn’t have a great iOS UI and doesn’t have a macOS app.

Response from developer

I'm not sure what happened with your experience. I'm deeply sorry you had such a poor first impression of Chunk. One of the things that makes our app special is the ability to upload lots of documents and files to Chunk and search them easily. I wish you would've reached out to us so we could've made things right for you and fix any issues you were having. We'd love to have you back if you're willing to give us another chance. We had a day or two of outages last month that you may have just been unfortunate enough to use at those times. Again I'm sorry this happened to you, if you do try Chunk again, please send me an email if you have ANY issues or questions. Thanks - James founder of Chunk AI

Duped by the Aesthetically Please UI

Nearly impossible to get information/files/anything into this app on iOS which, in turn, makes it pointless across the Apple ecosystem. Waste of $

Powerful AI Companion

I have used a lot of AI tools and this is the best I have used to date!!
