Almost perfect!

If this app has the ability to record audio, this would be perfect. Hope you can add that feature soon. I do love this app!

I love the App! But…

This App is great. I love the unique features. I have found it very helpful in my time with the Lord. My one complaint is that twice now, I have spent 45 minutes writing in each prompt, and the entire devotion was deleted. It was honestly so disappointing and has made me rethink using the app as a whole. My time with the Lord is sacred and to not be able to trust an app to save information means it has no use to me. I’m not sure what causes the error, but if it happens a third time, I will move on to another app that is trustworthy to do what it is supposed to do.

Great App!

This app helped me a lot during the Feast of Tabernacles and keeping up with the sermons. Directions on how to use the app would have been helpful, however.

Absolutely love the app, auto verse stopped working

I absolutely love this app! It’s been great with my new church experience. The. Auto verse feature however recently stopped working and it won’t re-engage. I’m not sure how to fix it.

Good but few issues

This app is great from what I can tell so far but I am unable to switch my Bible version, when I try the screen goes black and I have to swipe out of the app in order to get back to note taking, I’d love if you guys could take a look at this! Thank you!

Does not support Apple Pencil

When it supports Apple Pencil it will be a great app. However, I’m not going to use a keypad during a sermon. I also wanted to use it with my digital Bible studies. I’ll check back every few months to see if that functionality has been added.

Having trouble.

I’m in the free trial mode and at first my experience was really great. But now only my second time using this app I’m having trouble with it. I’m doing a devotion using the S.O.A.P. Option. I used it yesterday as well and it worked great but not I hit save and nothing happens. This wasn’t my first frustration though. When I opened the app my screen lit up white and stayed that way for about 2 minutes. I had to shut my iPad off twice before I could get the app to open. I really enjoy the app when it’s working properly. It’s pushed me to want to study my Bible more. Please fix this issue so I can dive back into using this app!! Thank you!!

Apple Pencil not supported on iPad version?

I tried the iPad version for the first time. I am woefully underwhelmed. The note taking is clunky: add a auto-verse and then try to type notes at the cursor afterwards. You end up getting placed somewhere else on the page. An iPad version that does not recognize the Apple Pencil is pretty useless for taking notes during a sermon. ESV is the default translation. Really? I wish I could say there is a bright future for this app, but it really is nowhere ready for prime time.

Wouldn’t want any other notes App!

Church notes is amazing! Consistently updating their app to make it more user friendly. Being able to put in a Bible verse without having to change to another app helps me focus on the sermon. Love this app! Keep up the good work!

Needs pencil writing!

The verse feature is so awesome but being able to write with a pencil would make this app much better. I’ll prob have to use good notes so that I can write. Please add a pencil and it would be perfect!

Average but not what I’m looking for

It was ok.. not many design options and I hated that couldn’t write with my pen and the text show up. You have to type everything.

I Love Simple Things

SIMPLE:
Psalms 119:130
"The teaching of your word gives light, so even the simple can understand."

I like apps that are simple--apps that do one thing and do it well. I have high hopes for this app--so much so that I stepped out in faith and purchased a very long term subscription without fully knowing its limitations and issues.

The concept is simple: type a scripture reference and press the space bar to insert the text. Wrap that with templates for Sermons, SOAP, and Devotion templates/wizards and it's a nice to have (but unnecessary). I prefer a blank note template (without a NEXT button). But all in all it's fine.

SEARCH:
Jeremiah 29:13
"If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me."

It would also be nice if the search results showed words in context instead of just the large title banner. The banner is cute but takes up too much screen real estate.

HELP:
John 14:16
"And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, who will never leave you."

I'd like to give a shout-out to Tom who responded rather quickly and politely to my chat queries regarding a bug. Thanks for all your help Tom.

NEW:
John 16:24
"You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy."

I would welcome additional translations like NLT, MSG, NASB, and AMP even if I had to pay a (one time) fee.

Minor nit: It would be nice if there were a global option to exclude the "Note type" prefix "This Note Was Created Using Church Notes, Visit ChurchNotesApp.com" suffix when COPYING text.

Overall, I like this app and will continue to use it as my primary church note app. I have several others--Olive (too embedded in their bible app) and the original Church Notes app (no longer available) Keep up the good work.

Will not save notes

I was really excited to use this app to take my notes since it automatically puts the verse in for you but it will not save any of my notes. This is the third time I have gone back to look at my notes to pick up where I left off but it never saves. It says in the help section that it automatically saves it but it doesn’t. I would give 5 stars if it wasn’t for that but if it doesn’t save all my notes I spent quite a bit of time on then all the other cool uses of the app is pointless. Hope they fix that problem so I can continue to use the app since I loved how easy it was to use!

NEEDS to be able to insert pictures!!!

This app is very good and organized but in some sermons there are images I would like to take a picture of and insert. Also the verses need to have quotations. We can get confused without the essential grammar.

Great App But Glitches A Lot

Wonderful app, I can keep track of all my notes and search for them which I am unable to do in apple Notes. However, when I try to delete sermons, they delete from my view but when I renter back they are still there. How do I permanently get rid of them.
